Jacques Kallis :
How he made April Fool of his girlfriend - he was with the team in a different
city than his girlfriend's and on 1st April he called her up and asked if she
wanted to marry him. She obviously replied yes and then went on to tell her
family and all her friends about the 'Great' news. But later on Kallis called
her again to remind her of the date that day and only then she realized that he
had played the April fool joke on her!!! (And how did I get to know this - from
Mr. Zulu Klusener 
!!!)
Allan Donald :
He enjoys golf, fast food (he's known to finish it off in 5 minutes!!), reggae
music and Castle Lager. Bet he had a great time with those 300 Castle Lagers he
received after claiming 300 Test wickets

Donald has to say about him - I
was a student at that time. We used to go to this tavern. One evening, I was
introduced to this tall, blonde, broad-shouldered South African guy. I just
remember shaking his hand, saying 'Hi' and that was it. He had his elbow on the
bar and was quietly drinking away and from then on I just kept seeing him in
there. I used to go there a lot with my two sisters and we used to call him our
big brother. He was like a big brother at the time. He was a really good friend
and I remember the last night he was in England and I was saying goodbye to him
outside the pub and I remember waving to him and telling my sister 'Well, he was
really nice actually.' I think it hit me when he left that I really liked him.
Speaking of the man, at home he is nothing like he is on the wicket. He looks
scary to me. I would not want to face him. When he is at home, he is really
gentle and relaxed and loves to be with his children, especially since little
Oliver arrived. It's changed him a lot and he gets down to the kids' level. They
even go to the driving range and hit a few balls.
Daryll Cullinan
: He epitomizes Murphy's Law. If something has to go wrong, it will go wrong
with him.
1. Caught a virus in India
2. Lost his camera bag in Sri Lanka.
3. Lost his passport in England
4. Lost his suitcase in Pakistan
5. Hasn't appeared in a brochure yet.
6. His name is always omitted from lists
7. The only one whose Seiko watch didn't work.
8. Drove to Centurion Park for practice at the Wanderers (that too twice!!)
Jonty Rhodes
: He is known to be relatively quiet of the field (I know its hard to
believe!!) He is a voracious reader - completes a book during a flight or while
waiting to bat. He suffered from epilepsy as a child but his faith in God has
helped him to overcome it. He is inspirational - isn't it!!
Herschelle Gibbs
: He belongs to a family of athletes and sportspersons. At one point
of time he had trouble deciding which of these - Cricket, Football, Rugby or
Hockey should he take up as a career (Talk of choices!!!) He was nicknamed
'Scooter' coz he was underage to drive a car to the practice with his provincial
team and rode a scooter.
Neil Mckenzie
: Check out some of his weird superstitions - All the toilet seats
should be down when he goes into bat. He never steps on the white lines at the
crease, looks at the square leg after each ball and his batting partner isn't
supposed to venture into his half of the pitch! Hmmm, yeah I remembered another
one - he gets on and off the bed thrice the night before any big match!! And
here's more - he wears his gear something like a 100 times and tapes his
bat to the ceiling before coming into bat OMIGOSH!! This is unbelievable! Its
said that he is gradually trying to get rid of his superstitions and currently
their number is 35!!!
