The Notebook | Nicholas Sparks a real tear-jerker... this is the story of an elderly couple who illustrate what love really is... no doubt, one of the best books i've ever read... if you haven't read it, please do... you'll be glad you did... Message in a Bottle | Nicholas Sparks i'm a huge fan of nicholas sparks, so basically, i recommend that you read everything he has ever written!!! seriously, this is yet another tear-jerker, so make sure there's a box of kleenex close by. it's about a man who finds a love of a lifetime...twice... and a woman who loses a love of a lifetime... read it! Clan of the Cave Bear | Jean M. Auel the first of a compelling series of books, this story takes place approximately 35,000 years ago. after five-year old Ayla's parent's are killed in an earthquake, she is taken in by a group who call themselves the clan of the cave bear. we watch her grow and mature with these people, who think this blue-eyed girl is very strange... a great series, i highly recommend it... She Who Remembers | Linda Lay Shuler a story about a beautiful young indian woman in the american southwest, long before columbus, whose blue eyes marked her as a witch. she is finally transformed from an outcast to a chosen one, she who remembers. it's a very entertaining and enjoyable book... Follow The River | James Alexander Thom i could not put this book down... based on a true story of mary ingles, who was 23, pregnant, and married when Shawnee Indians invaded her peaceful Virginia settlement, killing men, women and children, and kidnapping her. they led her thousands of miles away from home, until she finally escaped and walked through the wilderness all the way back... a must read... Gone With The Wind | Margaret Mitchell the timeless Scarlett O'Hara saga... and who could forget Rhett Butler's famous line... "Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn..." it's a huge book, but well worth reading... although the movie was great, the book is much better... |
