Style
This ability is a reflection of your knowledge of fashion, disguise, make up, and how to generally look cool and fashionable. This ability can be used to retest appearance related Social challenges.

Weave
This ability allows a Nova to utilize their Eufiber to the greatest extent. Adding their skill in weave to the total capacity of Quantum that the Eufiber suit can contain. It also allows the Nova to create tendrils from the suit, or manipulate it in other ways beyond what a Nova without weave can. The tendrils can extend 2 meters per weave ability and have a strength trait rating equal to the Nova�s Eufiber background. Attunement can allow the Eufiber access to your strength traits for the tendrils.

Allegiance:

You must buy Backing x1 to gain the Special Benefits of an Allegiance.

Project Utopia Grunt:

Backing x1, Resources x1

Special Ability: The Nova is able to call upon the celebrity of Project Utopia once per game or office hours session, to gain +1 fame to their actions.

Drawbacks: any actions of questionable morality or legality are seriously frowned upon and can lead to temporary suspension of bonuses for the first infraction, leading to termination of contract and blacklisting by Utopia personnel and/or legal action. Also, Project Utopia does not hire novas with high levels of visible taint or aberrations, and sends taint unstable novas to its facility in Bahrain.

Probationary Teregen Cell Member:

Mentor x1, Cipher x1

Special Ability: Probationary Teregen are able to gain +1 level of influence in any category or +1 backing in any organization they wish by calling upon their ties within the Teregen and gaining assistance from secret connections.

Drawbacks: public baseline knowledge of your allegiance will cast suspicion on the nova and cause the authorities to question your involvement with any Teregen activity. Keeping your affiliation a secret hides you from the scrutiny of public opinion and police harassment. Note: you must be sponsored into a teregen cell by an existing member and your connection to the cell is limited to your sponsor for the duration of your probation. Teregen cells practice Security Culture.

Devries/Corporate Employee:

Special Ability: The Nova is aable to call upon an expense account funded by their corporation, thus giving them access to +1 Resources or property as long as it fits within their normal business expenses.

Drawbacks: your working for a giant faceless corporation and as a paid employee you are expected to project an image in accordance with the corporation�s ideals. Failure to do so means termination and possible blacklisting from other corporations. You also have duties to perform as an employee that might conflict with leisure time or other duties.

While frowned upon, a public statement of agreement with Teregen principals is not illegal. This lip service garners no special benefits and most real Teregen members will avoid any public appearances with you.

Attunement:

This background allows the Nova to attune objects and even people to his Quantum signature and prevent them from suffering damage from direct interaction with his powers or from secondary effects of his powers. (His immolate does not burn the person he�s carrying or his clothes grow with him when he uses size-morph: grow).

0 Attunement: The subjects clothes and anything in his vicinity that is not part of his body are subject to the damaging effects and secondary effects of his Quantum powers.

1 Attunement: The Nova can attune 2 kg of material or the clothes he wears.

2 Attunement: 5kg (a briefcase or other carrying case and its contents)

Backing: Backing is a representation of your job position within a company or organization, and how much power and responsibility you have. Backing also details the amount of expense accounts you have access to as well as personnel.

Cipher:

Cipher is a background that details how hard it is for people to track down information on you. In today's technological world, information is usually easy to track down, By taking Cipher as a background, you have gone to the trouble to either erase or lock out parts of your history, or it has been lost and difficult to track. Each level of Cipher adds a +1 trait difficulty to any tests to uncover the Nova's history or personal information. This also applies to information that is freshly recorded and could impact the characters resources, as documentation is lost and cannot be found.

Dormancy:

Dormancy is the ability to go dormant, or reduce your quantum signature to minimal levels and effectively hide your quantum-powered potential from others who can measure or detect such. Each level of dormancy gives you +1 traits to the simple static test to resist detection by a nova using their node rating, or a sensor measuring for quantum. At 4+ dots of dormancy, you can choose to have alternate nova and baseline form. While dormed down, you do not have access to your Mega traits, knacks, Quantum pool points or Quantum powers.

As a benefit, your Permanent Taint is reduced to half while dormed down and Temporary Taint is completely masked. Permanent Taint of 3 or less is hidden while baseline. Any backgrounds or abilities gained through nova points are still active, as are the nova�s extended life span, and non-Mega stamina trait healing rates. Any body modification powers that do not require the expenditure of Quantum to activate are also unaffected by dorming down. If a nova chooses to Dorm down as a resisted action to detection, then it is a resisted mental test, where the bonus dormancy traits apply to the characters normal traits. However, the nova cannot use Mega mental traits in the test because they are dorming down and not funneling any quantum through that part of their brain.

Eufiber:

Eufiber acts as extra quantum pool point battery and health levels of armor. Each background dot of Eufiber grants a Quantum battery of 1.

Armor Rating:
Basic(1-2): 1 Health level
Intermediate(3-4): 2 Health levels
Advanced(5): 3 Health levels

Eufiber heals damage to its armor health levels by expending its stored battery of Quantum. Damage is healed at the rate of one damaged health level per Quantum Pool Point spent per combat round.

However, if the Eufiber is ever drained of its entire stored battery of Quantum, it becomes vampiric and causes a lethal level of damage to the nova as it converts the health level into a quantum point for its own use. If a Eufiber suit is every drained of all stored quantum and is not given the chance to recharge within 3 combat rounds or 30 minutes out of combat, then it dies, becoming a useless pile of goo.

Node:

0 Node (1st Instar) The Nova can only spend 1 Quantum Pool Point per round and detect other nova quantum signatures with a win on a static Mental challenge. (vs. opponent�s mental traits)
1 Node (2nd Instar) spend +1 quantum pool point per round. Detect other nova quantum signatures at +1 trait. (Win or tie)
2 Node (3rd Instar) +2 per round. +2 traits to detect.
3 Node (4th Instar) +3 per round. +3 traits to detect. +1 permanent taint.
4 Node (5th Instar) +4 per round. +4 traits to detect. +2 permanent taint.
