As we all know, depression can be a normal reaction to the millions of hardships that we endure daily, but when those depressed feelings become intense or last for a long period of time-seek help. There are common symptoms of depression such as:
~ Feelings of Sadness
~ Lack of energy
~ Feeling hopeless or worthless
~ Loss of enjoyment from common interests
~ Being unable to concentrate
~ Being unable making decisions
~ Increased need for sleep, insomnia or sleeping to much
~ Unexplained aches and pains
~ Stomachache or headache
~ Change in appetite, which may result in either weight loss or weight gain
~ Thoughts of death or suicide
There are several different types of depression:
Major Depression
Chronic Depression (Dysthymia)
Bipolar Depression (Manic Depression)
Seasonal Depression (Seasonal Affective Disorder)
Psychotic Depression
Postpartum Depression

Another illness that was tossed at me, was Borderline Personality Disorder. That was the diagnoses when I was 16 and in Charter. BPD is characterized as: Unstable moods, relationships, self-image, and behavior. People living with BPD usually fear abadonment, self-harm and lack impulse control.
