This lovely Morab filly is DESERAE. In 1991 I lived in Oregon and worked at a Morgan horse farm.  I fell in love with this stunning bay going grey Morab filly shortly after she was born.  I purchased her and started halter breaking her.  She is pictured at 2 months old. Shortly after these photos were taken the  mare owner skipped town with the mare and my filly one weekend when the farm owners and I were all away at horse shows.  I later learned that the mare was stolen and had been "hiding out" at the Morgan farm (the farm owners did not know she was stolen)  and that the thief also skipped out on several months board and the stud fee that produced this filly.   I never saw her again.  The police found the mare many months later, she had been sold several times by the "thief" and each time stolen again.  They were unable to trace Deserae and her fate is unknown.  The theif escaped and I don't know if she was ever caught.
Deserae's sire was the 13 year old Morgan stallion, FERN PARK BRIGADOON.  This stallion had so much presence and he is one of the main reasons I purchased Deserae, as I really wanted one of his offspring.
