What I Seem To Be
The way that I am I keep to myself,
Like treasures stored upon a shelf.
The way that I seem to anothers' eye,
Is not what I am down deep inside.
The way that I am I hide from view,
And show my heart to very few.
The way that I seem sometimes will offend
Making me lose a possible friend.
The way that I am knows sudden fear,
And hides in shyness when strangers draw near.
And so let me say have patience and see,
I'm really not what I seem to be.
