| Nick Carter Weight Problems April 16, 2001 Backstreet Boys heart-throb Nick Carter is struggling with feelings of depression and low self-esteem -- as he secretly struggles to keep his weight down during bouts of over-eating. The blond star, the youngest member of the pop supergroup, admits that he's piling on the pounds as he comfort eats junk food in a desperate attempt to make himself feel happier. Carter admits that he's considering his future with the Backstreet Boys because he's struggling to hit the group's levels of fitness and he fears he's turning into a Fatstreet Boy. He says, "You could say I get overweight and depressed. Whenever the Backstreet Boys have time off, and I'm home by myself, I start feeling a little antsy. So I end up playing video games, watching TV and over-eating. "It's been a real problem for me. Sometimes, people comment on how I look, like I've gained weight, which hurts. But eating is just something I do when I'm bored, when I feel sad or when I have too much free time on my hands." -- WENN |
