Spirits of the House

Spirits of this house observing
In every corner to watch unseen
All the things we do and say
With envy and deep sadness stare
At shared warmth and laughter there
A hindsight, a foresight have they
But oh, can barely just recall
The way it felt and seemed

When they in body wholly
Could touch one another and know
Can you hear their plaintive plea
Imploring, moaning silently?
"You fleshly clad, so new, so free
Do you think thus you'll ever be?
How dare you waste mortality
Angry, bitter, sulking, hoarding

When you could embrace and join
Let fires within rage and glow
And passion set a course to know
Each sigh, each gasp and kiss so slow,"
While we sit here, apart yet near
We bring each earth trapped soul to tear
Reach out to me, I'll reach for you
And in the middle we shall meet

We'll light the fire that's hot and sweet
They'll love then vicariously
Bitterness gone, they shall then hear
Passion's music, so loud, so clear
It is their tune to dance to, love
Make them swirl and waltz above
Love me now, for the hour is late
Till come's the day we share their fate
