How winter dark does chill the skin
To permeate without, within
To suffer through the frigid blow
We gain strength, and come to know
The death of winter is but fleet
For comes the day an end to sleet
When freezing limb begins to thaw
Rebirth awaits in every bough
Pushing through with hopeful wish
Wanting for the sun's warm kiss<
To nourish it and reacquaint
The world, spring color for to paint
And brighten earth, field, sky and heart
Greet the Beltane, with it's art
Of brighter light and colors fair
Spring is all but summer's dare
To hope, a season of prelude
To warmth, ending cold solitude
Let us rise then mount and ride
And greet the sun, and feel alive!
