City of High Wall

He is a city of high wall
Fortifications surround fully
No way out, no way in

He is a cut rock fortress
Stones ancient and solid
Cold, hard masonry

Within are sights rare
Treasures and secrets
Art and myth abound

And what a pity if
They are never to know
The light of being known

If I could enchant him
Move him to open
Just a block or two

I do not want to
Knock down walls
There to defend wealth

I only wish a secret
Underground passage
So I could crawl in

He'd show me wonders
No one else has seen
Sights of rarity and wonder

I would be in grateful awe
And we could dwell safe
In that city of high wall
