| Sharplaninec was first registered at FCI (World Cynology Federation) in 1939 under the number 41 and the name "Sharplaninec".Its weight ranges from 60 to 70 kilos, its height 70 cm, and its chest can measure up to 120 cm. It has big pointy teeth, a body with great muscule mass and an extraordinary constitution. It has a calm temper, it is robust and typically loyal to its master, incorruptible, fearless, disciplined, fleetfooted, bullky and adaptable. Its love for children is enormous. Engineer Nacko Savovski, the owner of the breeding farm "KORAB", the cynology referee for Sharplaninec breed, chairman of a commission for protection of the breed and vice chairman of Macedonian Cynology Association, has raised about 300 Sharplaninec dogs, wich werw brought back into their natural enviroment - the mountans. Sharplaninec dogs from "KORAB" have been awarded many recognitions at dog exhibitions both in the Republic of Macedonia and across all the continets. |
