Step 5: If you are removing the Rotors then you have to remove the callaper mounting bracket. Do this by removing the two bolts shown. I used a 15mm socket, first on a breaker bar to get them moving, then a 3/8" drive socket to turn them out the rest of the way.

Note: I hung the callaper and mounting bracket as shown to get them out of the way. If you do the same be sure not to twist the brake line and also make sure to get the brake line streight when replacing the callaper/mounting bracket assembly. If you have the brake line twisted when reinstalling then there will not be enough of slack in the line when you turn the wheels and you will most likely brake the line.
Step 6: Remove the clips on the lug nut studs and discard. These are installed during manufacture of the truck so the rotors & drums don't fall off as the truck is moved around the assembly plant. If this is not the first time the brakes have been done then they may have already been taken off. Take the rotors off and have them cut then reinstall them. Install the new pads and reverse all the steps to put everything back together. Don't forget to test the brakes before driving away. The brake pedal should be higher then before, pump it a few times then start the engine and pump it a few times again. If everything went as planed then you are finished.
These are the pads I used. So far I don't have any squealing or noise and the braking is good. List price was almost $94, but I paid $50 thanks to New Bridge Auto Parts!
