Sandstorm

Name: Sandstorm
Calling: ThunderClan
Eyes: Pale Green
Pelt: pale ginger she-cat with barely visible darker stripes

History: The Original Series
Sandpaw was a ginger apprentice, older than Firepaw, Graypaw, and Ravenpaw, but probably about the same age as Dustpaw. Together, at first they mocked Firepaw's kittypet origins, Sandpaw being told more than once by Whitestorm not to make fun of her Clanmate.

In a battle with RiverClan near the gorge, Sandpaw nearly falls off the edge with a RiverClan she-cat. Fireheart saves her, and she softens on him a bit, much to the disappointment of Dustpaw. They become closer and friendlier to each other as time passes. She helps Fireheart find Cloudkit in a snowstorm, as well as Brindleface's two kits, Ashkit and Fernkit. After a battle with rogues, Bluestar announces her as the warrior Sandstorm.

She is on a patrol at Snakerocks, while Tigerclaw plots an attack on ThunderClan's camp using rogues. She comes back and helps to prevent Tigerclaw from escaping when the battle was over. Like the rest of the Clan, she is shocked by his treachery.

Sandstorm's love for Fireheart becomes quite obvious to everyone in the Clan, except Fireheart himself. When Cloudpaw is captured by the Twolegs and taken away, she gets offended when Fireheart says that everything he had in the Clan was gone. She later journeys with him to rescue his wayward nephew. Later on, she becomes concerned about Bluestar, who has become shattered in her mind about Tigerclaw's treachery.

Sandstorm admits her love for Fireheart, and together (along with more warriors, plus Fernpaw and Ashpaw) they lead the dog pack to the gorge, where the leader and a few other dogs drown to their deaths.

She joins in the battle with BloodClan, fighting on the side of LionClan.

She is the only cat that travels with Firestar on his quest to find the remains of SkyClan, a Clan that had been driven out of the forest and since forgotten. Along the way, a giant wave from the river carries Sandstorm away. With the cats that joined the new SkyClan, she taught most of them how to follow the warrior code's rules and customs, and some how to hunt and fight. Sandstorm also shows jealousy and bitterness towards Spottedleaf, a cat that Firestar fell in love with, but could not be with. She got the idea that she was second best to Firestar, in the end, which she does not believe any more. Later, in the battle at the run down barn where the rats lived, Sandstorm chose to save Firestar's life rather than Rainfur's, but he later returns and tells them that the warrior code is worth dying for. The two leave for ThunderClan when SkyClan is rebuilt, with Leafstar leading and Echosong healing the Clan. In the end, she gives birth to their two daughters, Leafkit (Leafpool) and Squirrelkit (Squirrelflight)

The New Prophecy
Sandstorm appears little in the New Prophecy, but is noted from time to time.
Her biggest appearance is when she is welcoming home both of her kits, Leafpaw and Squirrelpaw, thankful that both were home.

Power of Three
Again, Sandstorm shows little role in the third series, but she is a grandmother now.

Her biggest appearance was in The Sight when it is revealed that Firestar never shared the prophecy with Skywatcher with her, and that he dreams of it every moon.
