My Sweet Poison

Poem (in case you can't read it)
Drink, my child,
and never mind
the old wive's tales that serpents lie
surely they hate your right to fly
Drink, my child,
and you shall find
a whole new world to explore
wisdom yours forevermore
Drink, my child,
just trust in me
one dainty sip to pass your lips
escape reality, watch it slip
Drink, my child,
ah! soon you'll see
no boon, my potion, but a curse
my sweet poison ends in things worse
than death.
