May 25th - Sharon will begin receiving her retirement benefits approximately July 1st. They will be paying retroactively from September '96 (This should add about $10,000 to Sharons van money bringing it up to about $16,000! For this she can purchase a very nice used vehicle!)
May 29, 1997 - Sharons neurosurgeon says it looks like we have beaten the infection but will hold off replacing the bone flap for about 3 months to be sure. This will place us very close to the one year anniversary of the accident...
May 31, 1997 - Sharon has made tremendous steps in her daily living skills and in her confidence in herself!
The other day she woke up before I did, She sat up in bed, transferred herself to her chair, did her bathroom duties, went to the kitchen and made her coffee, then wheeled herself back to the bedroom to ask my assistance in opening the SUGAR jar! Prior to today she had required assistance in ALL of the tasks!
