April 1, 1997 - Glenn recieves 1st unemployment check. We filed our Income Taxes today, we expect a $3,000 refund. This will be applied toward Sharons van.

April 2, 1997 - Sharons co-workers raise over $600 in the December "coupon" fund raiser to be applied toward Sharons van.

April 15, 1997 - Sharon now transfers herself from her wheelchair to the car and from the car to her wheelchair.

April 19, 1997 - Sharons co-workers raise $500+ at bakesale to be applied toward her van. (In all her co-workers have raised aproximatly $5,000 to date. $2,000 was spent on adjustable beds. This leaves $3,000 in this fund alone to go toward Sharons van!)

April 25,1997 - Tristen (Tealas 6 month old son, our grandson) needs open heart surgery right away. Begining to suffer congestive heart failure.

April 28,1997 - Tristen has open heart surgery to repair Ventricular Septal Defect. All went well. The entire family survived the ordeal.

April 30, 1997 - Tristen returns home. He is doing great! You would never know he has just has open heart surgery (He has alot more energy now and is putting on some weight!)
