I hope that AI is done with the Beatle songs already, because tonight was a boring night so far in regards to the Idol contestants' performances. You can only sang enough Beatle songs and most Beatle songs are not for singing contests.

Having said that, I thought that the performances of David Archuleta, Syesha Mercado, David Cook, Ramiele Malubay and Chikezie were much better than the rest of the AI contestants.

One thing that played in my mind before watching Brooke White perform was how would her performance be without her playing a piano or guitar. Would she be able to hold her own without additional props to make her look more talented than the rest? It confirmed to me with her performance tonight that Brooke is not as effective without her props. She has a good voice but I can't consider it spectacular. She has a great personality though.

Jason Castro's performance was alright. Simon is right. He has a lot of charisma that are so appealing with the ladies. If he picks good songs in his future performances, he will stay a little longer in the show. He reminded me of a young John Travolta. He has Travolta's smoldering eyes and smiles.

My bottom 3 prediction for tomorrow would be: Michael Johns, Amanda Overmyer and Kristy Lee Cook. I believe Kristy is the second casualty and will be leaving the show tomorrow night. She is not the viewers favorite and neither the judges. Her performance tonight was not so great either.

Carly Smithson was boring tonight. I could not warm up to her performance and personality. I could see why her U.S. CD album did not make it. She sounds like everybody else out there in the music industry and this type of sound is getting old.
