Idol 2008 is getting ready for its Top 12

Well, thanks for an online lady friend of mine, she puts a spark to my almost "burnt out" feeling of yet another American Idol season, SEVEN at that. Let's put it this way-- how many more times could I take hearing the same songs over and over again sang by a different, unknown faces singing the songs; but same common, over the top, overkill voice of todays singers.

There are so many singers out there with the same style of performances-- many wannabes Christina Aguileras, Pinks and punks and all that jazz! It gets old and tiring after a while.

This season was almost the same, except maybe 4 or 5 Idol contestants whose proving to be on a league of their own. I won't mention their names yet as I just started tuning in last week, read their bios, and heard some scandals.

Well, I guess next week, as I treadmill to the songs of the Top 12, hopefully, it would not be a boring season. Hopefully, the Idol producers have concocted something different this time to make the show an exciting thing to watch.

My predictions of the four that will be booted off tonight--- Luke Menard and David Hernandez for the boys. Syesha Mercado and Kady Malloy for the girls.

It's getting close to seven pm on my neck of the woods, so adieu for now...

footnotes:

I was truly surprised that Danny Noriega was booted off. The first thing in my mind with regards to the girls that will say goodbye tonight was Asia'h Epperson, but I thought she bested Syesha Mercado. I started wondering if the Idol producers had something to do with letting Danny go because of his childish ways. Danny surely has a great voice for his age and he is very amusing, but could be sort of high maintenance in regards to his interactions with the judges. His open admission of his sexual orientation may not have helped him either and neither his UTube blasphemy of Christmas, who knows!?

Having said that--I like David Archuleta and since he is the one to beat this season, my pick to root for is Jason Castro, Michael Johns, Ramiele Malubay and Brooke White, in that order.
