(1:32 PM) On my March 29, 2007 blog here, I predicted that Jordin Sparks will be successful overtime among the Season 6 AI batch.

With her energetic and youthful persona, even at her auditions, she has the makings of an American Idol. She connects to the young viewers of the show that also like Sanjaya. I was not sure if she will stand out in a group that included early favorites Lakisha Jones and Melinda Doolittle. They were the three among my favorites.

As I watched AI every week, I saw Jordin improved and has grown to be someone to beat. Although I like Melinda from the very beginning, the last parts of the show, I felt that she did not have anymore to show talent wise. It was a consistent performance every week, but had become monotonous and boring, in my opinion.

I still believe that this season, I have not really seen anyone that could make me dial non stop to vote religiously every week. Last I did the "dialing for dollars" was when Bo Bice was on the show. As far as I am concerned, Season 1 with Kelly, Season 2 with Carmen and Clay, Season 3 with Diana and Season 4 with Bo Bice were the most exciting AI seasons for me. It was a thrill watching the show every week, where I anticipated and look forward to watching the show with so much excitement. I recorded those seasons and when I watch them again, I feel so nostalgic.

I've taped the top 10 Idol 6 performances this year just because I like to watch the AI show while I'm treadmilling for energy and health. I started taping Dancing with the Stars and my fav is Apollo Anton Ohno. I'm so glad he won. Now, Dancing is not at it's peak yet and I don't feel tired watching it yet. I am so looking forward for the next Dancing season. That's how good it is.

Going back to AI, hopefully, Jordin will be as successful and sell millions of CDs the way Carrie and Kelly did...She has to convince the ones that voted for her that she deserves the title by coming out with a great full length CD that would catapult her to the ranks of Kelly and Carrie.

Since she's only 17, it's really good to observe what type of songs they will choose for her on her first CD album that would attract not only the young, but the adults alike.

She pulled it though-- the first youngest American Idol winner...

And what a finale it was featuring the original idol Kelly Clarkson, Ruben Studdard, Carrie Underwood and Taylor Hicks. I think that was the best finale ever because it showed the different talents that the show discovered through the years--- FABULOUS, AMAZING, EXCELLENT, coudn't ask for a better finale ending!!!
