| Nickelodeon� Gak Notes: Gak is a product made kind of like "Slime." It is sticky, gooey clay like substance. Ingredients: 1 C. white Elmer's glue , 1 C. liquid starch , food color Preparation: Put glue and food coloring in a plastic container. Add starch a little at a time, stirring constantly. Keep stirring until mixture hold together like putty. Test with fingers, if too sticky add more starch in small amounts until mass is smooth and rubbery. |

| Candy Cane Bath Salts 2 cups epsom salts , 1/2 c. sea salt (or coarse salt), 4-6 drops peppermint oil , 2-3 drops red food coloring. Place one cup of epsom and 1/4 cup sea salt in a bowl or resealable plastic bag. Add 2-3 drops peppermint oil. Place the remaining ingredients in a second bowl. Mix all ingredients well. Layer the red and white salts in a clear bottle or jar. Half litre Naya� water bottles work well because they have the stripes. Tie with a ribbon and some small candy canes. This makes a great holiday gift for friends. If you are a good cook, try home made cookies. I make cookies for gift giving. I put them in cellophane bags that are decorated with holiday print. | Fruit Loop Christmas Tree Need: green construction paper, fruit loops, glue Contributed by: Amy Scott Cut the construction paper into christmas tree shapes and randomly place glue onto the paper. Then have the kids put the fruit loops on the glue. This is something that kids aged 18 months and up can do and they can have a snack at the same time!! |
| Pipe Cleaner Star of David Need: pipe cleaners, glue, glitter (optional) Form one pipe cleaner into a triangle. Repeat. Then slide the two pipecleaners together (secure with glue if necessary). Optional: add a little glue and sprinkle with glitter to make then sparkle. Make several in different colors! |
