The labradoodle is a cross between the Labrador Retriever and the Poodle. F-1 indicates first cross, one half Lab and one half poodle. F1B is the second generation or first back cross to the poodle. This is done achieve the curly, allergy friendly coat which is low to non- shedding. Our Dams and Sires are F1B, their puppies are considered multi-generational. That means they are less like to display the appearance of one or the other breed, thus temperament as well as coat and size are more uniform. Temperament: Labradoodles are sociable, friendly, non - aggressive, and extremely intuitive. Their intelligence and high trainability make them well suited for guide dogs, therapy dogs, and other assistance dogs. The tendency to have non-allergic coats make them popular among people who have not been able to enjoy pets because of their allergies. Although the labradoodle puppies can be quite active, adults are rated a "medium" in activity and "average" for exercise needs. Labradoodles are non-aggressive dogs and are great with children. They are easy to train. They get along well with other dogs, are very clever and sociable. They are quick to learn unusual or special tasks, and are known to be comical. They will attempt to outsmart their owners if undisciplined. They are friendly, though loyal to their own family. Most labradoodle pups inherit a nice mix of temperament and as such make wonderful companions for the entire family. Labradoodles crave companionship from their human families. If you want a dog to leave outside in the yard, and just be around it when you feed it, or want a guard dog, don’t get a Labradoodle. They love you and need your time and attention.
