How to make a website of your own?

You can try to have a blog, a personal website, or a website for commercial use.

First, you'll need to get a host, paid or free. I use GeoCities as it's free and user-friendly. You can also try

For the start off, if you're a beginner, you can always start from scratch. One good program would be PageBuilder provided by GeoCities. It does not require any knowledge on codings. The disadvantages of using this program is that, it does not allow overlapping, or if you're on a rather slow computer, the program will get frozen. It's still an easy-to-use program overall.

If you're going for the complicated way, you can try HTML or CSS. HTML is the basics of building a webpage. To view the codes in a certain webpage, just right click and select "View page source". I would recommend taking up courses in Web Tech University.

  • For some add-ons, you can get some games or special functions from JavaScript Kit. Although it enhances the function of your website, but do not forget to give some credits to those who spent their time to write out the code. I advise you not to use too much of Java scripts on your page as it slows down the loading time of your webpage and distracts visitors.

Advanced users can always use CSS for more pleasant-looking webpages.
