Hora Hora 10 Western sharks 7
The Dargaville ford Western sharks haven't been having much luck this season, with some close losses, but were the authors of their own misfortune when their Beaurepaires Premier side were pipped by a struggling Hora Hora outfit 10-7 at Hora Hora Park last Saturday.
Forced to play a man short most of the match, when they lost a lock who was red carded for throwing a retaliatory punch in front of the Ref, the sharks seven man pack struggled in the scrums and mauls and only won a small percentage of the ball in these facets, although their lineout went well. The sharks backs, who looked dangerous every time they moved the ball, just didn?t have enough possession to make a victory, but they too were guilty of trying the ?miracle? pass, most of which were spilled a bit too often, they also turned down two kickable penalties to go for five pointers which didn?t eventuate, much to their cost in the final analysis.
James Fowlie scored the sharks try which Roger Rowse converted. The Morfett autos Reserve team, with a raft of young new players going extra well, cruised home to a 29-10 victory over hora hora in the early match. The Sharks play Marist at Kensington this Saturday.
