| Reduced to fourteen men for the rest of this match played under lights at R.D.1 Park Dargaville last Thursday night, effectively nullified the competitiveness of the game. That they were able to be in contention, only down 8-3 up until a few minutes from fulltime, when Hikarangi scored their second try for a 15-8 victory, speaks volumes for the efforts of the seven man Sharks pack. | Halfback Hayden Andrews came through a torrid match with credit, and quicksilver fullback Phil Langdon looked extra dangerous every time he received the ball, but the sharks backline suffered generally from a lack of go forward ball. Roger Rowse kicked a long-range penalty for the Sharks points. | |||||||
