Shark Attack!
This is undoubtably the most famous picture of a shark attack victim. This is a picture of Rodney Fox, after his 1963 attack. He was competeing in the S. A. Spearfishing Championships. When he was about 1100 yards from the shore, he felt something huge hit his left side. His wounds required 462 stiches. He has come back, to have a lucrative underwater career, and a passionate love of sharks.
This less known, but equally devastating attack happened to Henri  Bource as he was scuba diving off the southern coast of Australia in 1964. A great white was identified as the attacking species.

This one I obviously got from rotten.com. I am not sure of the location of the attack, but you can see the severity of the wound for yourself.
We all know what a bite wound looks like, but this is a great example of an abrasion wound.
