Chores for slaves of Kassar, Ameeshia

I am not going to beg you to do your part for the Camp, but will say that no matter whose collar you wear, you are responsible for chores. If you do not complete your chores, I expect to see an explanation on the chore board as to why you cannot do three small chores a week. I do not expect  more than three posts, of about 5 lines long each to be a chore - work hard girls, and make your Masters and Mistresses proud.

This is a Wagon Camp, and there is a lot of work to be done in order to keep the Camp running  smoothly. Be creative, there are lots of things you can do. These chores are put here for some ideas  if you cannot think of any yourself. They are in no way meant to be a complete list! If there is something you want to do, and it will help the Camp run smoother, by all means DO IT! Some of the  chores are seasonal (gathering ice), but most are year-round.

As you know, you are expected to do three chores each week. The first girl of Kassar will be checking to see if chores are being done. If she does not see your name on the chore list, or a reason posted as to why not, sheena{Ramer}, first girl of Kassar will start ASSIGNING chores, each week.

1) Milking bosk: the 3-legged stools and sterile pails are kept in the milk shed, the bosk are in the corral near the shed. They are milked by pulling on the teats, the buckets are empties into a barrel in the chillery.

2) Making bandages: find rags in good shape (do NOT use silk ones), wash them, and rip them into long strips, then boil them to be sterile, dry them and roll them up and store them in the med wagon.

3) Making botas: botas are bladders - get one from the wagon (it will already be sterilized), rub it carefully with a rock or blunt stick til it is soft and pliant (be careful not to tear the skin), then carve a horned stopper to fit the opening (get permission to use something to carve with), then decorate the bota with dyes.

4) Feed the animals: (kaiila, bosk, sleen, etc.) put hay in the feeding troughs, for the bosk, (hay is kept outside the pens, in large bales, stacked), the sleen and kaiila need raw meat - there are buckets kept in the chillery just inside the door, to put meat scraps in. Do not forget to feed any pets that might also live in the Camp.

5) Embroidery: vests, FW clothing, tunics, etc, can be embroidered with nearly any design. Supplies  in the supply wagon, you do not need permission to use a sewing needle.

6) Making rope and twine: rope and twine are made from fibers, such as from rep cloth or from hair- they can be braided into rope, or rolled into twine.

7) Making healing salve: this is a combination of kanda leaf and brak bush, cooked with bosk lard and packaged in small vials. Store most of it in the med wagon, but also put some in the servery.

8) Washing the animals: (kaillas, bosk) washing the animals actually includes washing them, scrubbing them and brushing them, as well as polishing their hooves and horns.

9) Clean slave wagon: take out the furs and rubs, wash them, sweep and clean, dry them by hanging them over ropes strung between the wagons, and put them back.

10) Making utensils and silverware from tabuk/bosk horns: you will need permission to use a quiva to carve - carve spoons, forks, cooking utensils, etc, from the horns.

11) Carving novelty items to sell: you will need permission to use a quiva to carve, little animals,  FWs, Rarius, etc, then colored or painted with dyes, to be sold at the Fair by the Mistresses.

12) Clean servery

13) Clean own Masters or Mistresss Wagon

14) Clean the Guest Wagon

15) Clean Med Wagon

16) Laundry - dirty items kept in buckets in the wagons, cleaning cloths etc kept in the servery - take  them to the river, and yes, use a rock to scrub them, wringing them out, rinsing them then bringing them back to camp to hang on ropes strung between the wagons to dry.

17) Combing/Brushing the Furs around the Fires, and in the wagons -

18) Collect vulo eggs, there are padded baskets in the storage wagon.

19) Gather flowers to put in tubs or vases in wagons

20) Clean the chillery, throw out the old food

21) Clean storage wagon, inventory the items, and make a list of things needed.

22) Make perfume: use fresh spring water in a large pot.add flower petals or bits of sandalwood, or other fragrant items to place in the water and boil for a period of time - allow the fragrance to seep into the water and make it scented. Pour into small vials, decorate the vials with paints, and store in a crate in the storage wagon. Be sure to live how many bottles you made, and what fragrance they are.

23) Make candles: find a chunk of bees wax in the storage wagon, cut or break into small pieces (get permission to use a blade if you cut it), put them in a pot over the fires, and watching it carefully,  melt the wax, adding flower petals or anything you wish for scent.once melted, pour into taper  molds or pillar molds or decorative dishes to cool and harden.

24) Make soap: get some animal lard in the chillery, put in a pot, mix with lye, put on the fires to melt to a liquid, adding either scented oil or flower petals for scent, or leave as is for the Masters. Once it is smooth and creamy, pour into the molds, cool til hard, then store them in the storage wagon. Be sure to state how many you made, and what fragrance if applicable.

25) Make jewelry: beading, earrings, belly chains, ankle bells, etc, supplies kept in the storage wagon in a basket - use your imagination - make them as intricate as you like - and if you beg a Free, you might even get to use some leftover gold or silver or jewels, (gold and silver must be melted down and poured into a mold carefully, or beaten into shape)

26) Curing, preserving meats: meats can be dried and made into jerky, hung and smoked like hams, salted down in barrels, canned or frozen in winter. You can also dry seeds , nuts, fruits and fruit leathers.

27) Gathering ice: use a shovel, and wagon, go to the river (in winter) and break chunks of ice, carefully loading it into the wagon, returning to camp to store it in the chillery, placing sawdust or straw between the chunks to keep it from sticking together.

28) Make butter, bosk cheese: skim off the milk from the milk vat in the chillery, pour it into the butter churn and pump the mixture up and down, this moves the paddle inside the churn to eventually make butter (as it thickens, it is harder to push up and down *smile*), then take the butter, pressing it into a mold, and put in the chillery. Pour off the whey, (buttermilk), checking to see if there is some  in the chillery - if there is enough, feed it to the pet sleens.for cheese, move some of the milk from the vat to the cheese vat, light the fire, add the starter and cook til curds form, add rennet and any flavorings you wish, cook until the right consistency, drain, wrap in cheesecloth and set in the chillery to age.

29) Weave cloth (different color silks, veils, for dances, blankets, cloth for tunics and robes, etc.)  Supplies in the supply wagon, you must warp the loom (put the yarn/thread on the crossways pegs),  then weave by going over and under each string, using a shuttle to push what you have woven tight (every few rows), - the design can be as intricate as you like - when you finish, you tie off the ends and cut it from the loom (you will need permission to use a quiva to cut it).

30) Make slave wine: gather sip root, seep it in kalana for awhile, watching it carefully so it does not burn, then cool it and store it in botas.

31) Sewing leathers for Masters: measure the Master at the waist, hips, and inseam, then make a pattern, cutting out the leather (get permission to use a quiva to cut), and sew the leathers, using either decorative or straight stitches. (you do not need permission to use a sewing needle).

32) Make fishing nets: loosely weave strong cord together, either on a loom or by hand crocheting them.

33) Make purses, boots, etc, from leather: leather is found in the storage wagon, make a pattern, then cut out the leather (get permission to use a quiva to cut with), then sew the leather - you may then tool a design into the leather getting permission to use a small quiva, dye the leather with a design, or leave it plain.

34) Cleaning game brought in by Masters: first, if the Master is in camp, ask if He wants to keep the rack (horns). If not, remove them and put them in the storage wagon for anyone who wants to make  things from the horns, then skin the animal carefully, keeping the hide in a single piece,
if possible,  put it in the storage wagon, also to be cured, then gut the animal, saving the gut for casings for sausages, and the bladders, storing both in the wagon, then cut the meat into roasts, etc, put the meat in the chillery.

35) Curing animal skins: the skins are in the storage wagon, first clean them of any fleshy debris,  then stake them in the sun for a couple days, once completely dry, rub the skin side with a stick or rock until it is soft and smooth (be careful not to tear it) - these will be used for furs. Other hides, remove the fur by using a shell or something similar, (get permission to use this), then rub both sides til soft and supple, store the leathers in the storage wagon.

36) Cook meals: Anytime you cook a meal, post what it is, in your subject line, as often the Masters  and Mistresses would like to know what foods have been prepared in camp. You can be real creative here, and most foods from earth can be adapted to be used in Gor.

(If you have any ideas, please just message either Mistress Ubara, first girl, second girl or trainer)

And slaves, please use your imaginations and have fun, chores do not have to be boring.  This page is to help you all in coming up with ideas for chores, but I'm sure there are many more that could be added.  If there is something you wish to do, but are not sure if a chore, please ask and do not assume.  Of course, if you know it to be something that should be considered a chore, do it.

Thanks,
Shanna/Ramer, Ubara and slave Co-Ordinator

Click 'NEXT' and it will take you to another page with chorelist...there may be more listed there, just for a reference.  And remember, I would appreciate anymore that can be sent to Me. *S*
