| Tessa was adopted on Friday, July 19, 2002 from Buddy's Place, a rescue organization in Chillicothe. Tessa and her sister Tasha were rescued by a 10 year old boy who saved them from two teenagers about to do harm to them. The 10 year old and his mom then brought the girls to the shelter. Tessa was adopted after my husband saw how much I liked her when we adopted Spencer. My husband suprised me one night by saying we should adopt the little girl I so adored the night we adopted Spencer. |

| Tessa was diagnosed with Feline Leukemia in early May, 2004. Although she had tested negative as a kitten, the virus was dorment and appeared when she was almost two years old. She bravely fought the disease and was doing well for awhile when in August she took a turn for the worse. She passed away in her sleep in the early morning hours on August 21, 2004. |
