Maia was a stray living in my friend Debbie's neighborhood. Debbie began taking care of Maia and her little kittens.
Maia gave birth to four little kittens on June 25, 2003. Maia was only about seven to eight months old herself.
At one point we feared something happened to the four little kittens. Debbie had not seen the kittens for several weeks. Then one day there they were under the neighbor's porch, all safe and sound.
Debbie rounded everyone up one day and kept them in her garage. Until I could drive to Lima and pick everyone up. On Saturday, July 26, 2003, Maia and her babies went to their forever home with me. |
