| On Saturday, February 23, 2002, I met Angelica and fell in love. On this date I was going to Adoption Day to meet and fill out the final paperwork for Courtney. Angelica wasn't suppose to attend Adoption Day but she jumped into the foster mom's pet taxi and would get out. She said she was going. When I arrived at adoption day, I immediately noticed Angelica. She was meowing and carrying on and would settle down when I spoke to her. She would get my attention by knocking over stuff she could reach for outside her cage and she would open the cage to get me to notice her. She would grab my shirt and tried to grab my pen as I was signing the paperwork for Courtney. I told them I wanted Angelica too. I would call them that night but had to ask my husband first. He said yes. I called Angelica's foster mom and while we were on the phone, Angelica began to meow and climb into the carrier. When we arrived the the next day, Angelica was immediately ready to go with us. She jumped right into the carrier. |
