Who is Lord Shardik?
Lord Shardik is the power of God. Shardik is the great bear. Many years ago when he was still on this Earth, he was served by the priestesses of Quiso. They passed on their knowledge of him. Shardik would sometimes express his rage to a village or city when the need arose, but he would never strike down a truley faithful one. Sometimes Lord Shardik would wander away from Quiso, then it would be the job of the priestesses to bring him back. Attempts had been made to breed Lord shardik, all of which were sucessful, but there was never any real need. Whenever the Great Bear passed on from one form, the Tunginda would go out and search. Sometimes within hours, sometimes within months, she would find him and return him to the Ledges.
But all that was long ago, when the great walls of Bekla were being built and Ortelga was the capital of the land and spread almnost to the former. But mens hearts began to grow evil. And so, Lord Shardik left. Without the power of God the good dissappeared, Bekla itself shrunk into a mere city of tradem and Ortelga was reduced to its current size, on the tip of a barren patch of swamp that no one would want anyway.
But now, Lord Shardik has returned! Returned I tell you! The power of God is amidst us once again! Hail to Lord Shardik. With his help we shall fix everything and true happiness shall rein once again!
