This tutorial is written for PSP7 and AS and assumes you have a good
working knowledge of the PSP tools.

Any resemblence to any other tutorial is purely coincidental.


Supplies Needed

Paint Shop Pro
Filters Unlimited 2 - Buy It Here
The Font I Used - Here - Asrafel.
My Supplies - Here - This includes the tube and my mask.

1. Open the tube and mask in PSP. Minimise the mask.
Shift & D to make a copy of the tube and close the original for future use.
Click on the watermark layer in your layer palette and Layers > Delete.
Click on Layer 2 in your layer palette and Layers > Delete.

2. Image > Re-size by 50% Bicubic Resample, all layers checked.
Image > Canvas Size. Width and Height both at 250, centre image
horizontally and vertically both checked.

3. Position the tube slightly up the canvas to make room for your text later.

4. Layers > New Raster Layer. Floodfill this layer with #FAEBA6.
Layers > Arrange > Send To Bottom.

5. Effects > PlugIn Filters > Filters Unlimited 2.
Paper Textures > Papyrus. Intensity = 66. Lightness = 96.

6. Masks > New > From Image. Locate my mask that you minimised earlier.
Source Luminance - Checked. Everything else - Unchecked.
Masks > Delete. Answer 'yes' to the window that pops up.

7. Selections > Select All. Selections > Float. Selections > Defloat.
Selections > Modify > Expand by 2.
Layers > New Raster Layer. Floodfill the selection with #C1995B.
Layers > Arrange > Move Down. Selections > Select None.

8. Turn off the visibility on your tube layer. Layers > Merge > Merge Visible.

9. Click on your tube layer to unhide it and make it active.
In your layer palette, change the blend mode to darken.

10. Effects > 3D Effects > Drop Shadow using these settings :

11. Layers > New Raster Layer.
Set your foreground colour to null and your background colour to #C1995B.
Using your text tool, add your name using these settings :

12. Selections > Select None.
Position your text below your tube where you're happy with it.

13. Effects > PlugIn Filters > Filters Unlimited 2.
Paper Textures > Papyrus. Intensity = 66. Lightness = 96.

14. Effects > 3D Effects > Drop Shadow.
Use the same settings as before but change the blur to 3.
Layers > Merge > Merge Visible.

15. Image > Canvas Size using these settings :

16. Layers > New Raster Layer. Floodfill this layer with #C1995B.
Layers > Arrange > Send To Bottom.

17. Effects > PlugIn Filters > Filters Unlimited 2.
Paper Textures > Papyrus. Intensity = 48. Lightness = 205.

18. Click on your merged tube layer to make it active.
Effects > 3D Effects > Drop Shadow.
Use the same settings as before but change the blur to 5.

19. Layers > Merge > Merge All (Flatten).
Save as a jpg and you're done!
