| *First, we are going to be identifying the external body parts and their functions. Students are encouraged to work in small groups and complete a worksheet counting the number of external body parts they have. *Then, as a class we are going to identify internal body parts and their functions. All internal parts work together to help the body function properly. We will start at the brain, then the lungs, then the heart, and finally the stomach. *Finally, each student will pair up with another student. One person will lay down on a piece of large paper, and the other person will trace the outline of their partners body. Each student will end up with their own body. *When everyone is finished tracing their bodies, label the appropriate parts. *As a class we will discuss the various internal and external body parts. |
