WHAT IS OUR PURPOSE? SHAPE is an ideal place from which to travel to other European countries and find out more about their people, their history and their heritage. We hope that our trips will enhance solidarity, friendship and mutual understanding among members of the whole SHAPE community.
WHERE DO WE GO? Almost everywhere! Our programme is wide and varied. It is planned to appeal to all ages and interests. We offer mostly midweek day trips by coach with occasional weekend excursions. Longer haul destination to exciting places are also offered from time to time. Our trips include sightseeing tours, shopping expeditions, cultural visits and often cover special events.
HOW DO I FIND OUT ABOUT THESE TRIPS? Details on all our trips are published in SHAPE COMMUNITY LIFE, on www.shapeo2day.com; click on "Group II and Associations," and then "Travel Group," on AFN Television and Radio, posters on various notice boards and in many of the Nation's own news magazines. HOW DO I SIGN UP? Travel Group members are available to answer questions, provide information and take reservations every Wednesday and Friday from 11.00 to 13.00 in the Trips and Tours office, Bldg 307. You will also find us in the Officers' Club before each lunch and tea organised by the SHAPE International Women's Club. Please note that reservations can only be made in person at the scheduled times and must be paid for at the time of booking.
