In 1996 the search for new lines sent me looking across Australia for a new dog, but ended at Wondoan kennels in Queensland. I actually wanted a bitch but with none available at the time I settled for a dog. Ralph came to join Shantiah in 1997 and immediately made his presence felt in the show ring. I am eternally grateful to John and Lyn Hales for letting me own this fantastic dog.

Ralph was titled at ten months old and is now aiming for his Australian Grand Champion Title (1000 points). He will be the second only IG to achieve this title. He will then retire and concentrate on agility and coursing, both of which he loves.

In 1998 Ralph sired his first litter to Aust Ch Shantiah Kiss and Tell resulting in five beautiful puppies including
Shantiah Hearts on Fire. Wally is also making his mark in the show ring.

Ralph gains final points for his
AUSTRALIAN GRAND CHAMPION TITLE
and wins BEST IN SHOW on the same day
under international and all breeds judge Mr Kevin Percival.
This win makes Ralph the SECOND ONLY IG to achieve this title. He is also the youngest GRAND CHAMPION IG at just under three years old.

Jan 2000 Ralph wins National Dog Competition Best of Breed Italian Greyhound for 1999. This makes him the
TOP ITALIAN GREYHOUND IN AUSTRALIA FOR 1999.

In this competition points are awarded for Group 1 and Group 2 wins and Best in Show and Runner up Best in Show awards only. One point is awarded for every dog beaten.
