Minky was my first Italian Greyhound and the one that got me addicted to this fabulous breed. She is the sweetest girl with a fantastic temperament. Minky was purchased as a pet, owing to her erect ears, although she had been shown as a baby.
I initially started doing obedience with her, but she became bored with it so after a few years we moved to agility and have never looked back. Minky really loved agility and was a great crowd pleaser at demonstrations.In 1997 she participated in the agility demonstration at the Sydney Royal Show and is the only IG to have ever made the demonstration team. She did attend a few trials but she went blind before receiving her title. Minky has done alot of promotional work for the breed by attending pet expos and introducing herself to the crowd with lots of tummy rubs and iggy kisses which she never tires of.
At eleven years old she is now completely blind and enjoys the life of an elderly couch potato.
