Or were you baffled by the previous sentence?

Is it posible you dont even believe that WAS a sentence.

Well, it was indeed a sentence, you l337-impared human, I pity thee.

Well, dont worry, this page is here to help!  I will give you a simple letter to letter translation for L337, which is the major difference between L337 and english.  well, internet english.  Also at the end are a few other things, such as you = j00, but we'll get to that later.

As you can see... it is nothing more than substituting various letters with simmilar looking numbers, or combos of /, \, |, (, ), <, > and _

Now, some of that is kind of tedious I must admit... In fact I hardly ever go by that table completely... unless I'm talking with someone in L337 just for the sake of talking in L337

Often I just kind of use a light-L337 form of talking that is easier to type, and to read, yet still cool looking

Also, a degree of mis-spelling is often called for with L337... and you must also remember to put "xorz" (or "X0RZ") on the end of every word you can, and replace "you" with "j00"  also if you feel like it you can replace 'c' with 'k' or 's' with 'z' or vice versa...

There really arent any concrete rules about L337... other than it just hasta look cooler than non-L337.

The "rules" that I tend to follow are as such:
use caps, exept for "j"
swap 'k' for 'c' whenever it still soudns right
swap z for s whenever it still sounds right
at least use "Light-L337"

If you look to the left, you will see another table called "Light L337... I rarely follow this completely, unless I am talking with someone who dosent really know L337, or to a buncha people, not all of whom know L337... because it is pretty close to the normal alphabet, and usuall people can decypher which letters your meaning, by the letters around them at least.  In other words... its just the letter-number swaps that look particularly simmilar

Oh, if I were you, I'd stay away from most punctuation now... it tends to confuse readers of L337, but 's and .s are okay
