Spike woke to find Buffy gone when his heart pounded inside him and he grew scared. He moved the covers back when he slowly sat up and the room spun around. He held his head in his hands, while his toes felt the soft carpet, when the door opened and Dawn walked inside with a tray in her hands. " What are you doing!? ", Dawn shouted as she placed the tray on the floor and ran to the bed. He looked at her when Dawn tried to get him to lay down but he gently swatted her hands away. " Where's Buffy!? ". " She's outside with the girls and Faith! Now, you get back to bed right now! ", Dawn shouted as he sighed but didn't move. " I've been in bed enough. Help me up! ". " Buffy is going to have a cow! ", Dawn said as she helped Spike up and he looked down at his feet. He smiled at Dawn when she helped him to the chair near the table and sat him down. Dawn helped him eat when he looked at her and she brought the bottle over. She gave him his medication as he swallowed and she made him show her that he had taken the pills. " So, where are my clothes? ". " Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh noooooooooooo! It's bad enough that I helped you this far. I am NOT going to let you get dressed! ". " Please, Little Bit, I want to go outside. ", Spike said as he gave her a sad puppy face and she sighed. " Fine! If Buffy goes nuts, I'll say this was all YOUR idea! ". --------------------------------------------------------------------- --------- ----------------- Buffy watched while the girls practiced with Faith as she sat on the grass and sighed. She kept thinking about Spike when she looked toward the door and her eyes went wide. " What is he doing!? ". Spike, wearing sneakers, black jeans, and a gray sweatshirt with LONDON in different colors on the front, stood at the top of the stairs next to Dawn and he looked up at the sunlight. He closed his eyes as the warmth filled him and Dawn held him close to her. She helped him down the stairs when Buffy ran to him and he smiled at her. " What are you doing!? ", Buffy asked as he looked at her and blinked. " What does it look like? ". " Was this your idea!? ", Buffy said as she locked eyes with Dawn and she sighed. " No. His. ", Dawn said as Buffy sighed and he looked at her. Dawn helped Spike down the stairs as they walked to the girls and Faith smiled. " Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeey! Look who's up and moving! ", Faith said as they walked closer and Buffy sat him on the bench near a tree. " Hello. ", Spike said when Faith walked closer and knelt down near his knees. " I'm Faith. How are you doing? ". " Better. You know me? ". " Sure do. So, what do you think about all this!? ", Faith asked as she gently punched his shoulder and he pouted. " Ok, I guess. ". " Good. So, B, what do you want the girls to do now? ". " I think she should come with me. ", Willow said as they looked at her and the female that was with her. She was a tall woman, with long white hair and silvery gray eyes, and she wore a white robe and sandals. " Who is that? ", Faith asked. " A friend of Willow's. Come on. ", Buffy said as she helped Spike up and they went inside the house. ------------------------------------ Willow and the female sat on the floor as Spike laid on the floor on his back between them and the female had the necklace in her hands. She had told Buffy to place Spike on the floor and he had his shirt off. The female looked at the amulet then at Spike when she placed her hand on his chest and felt his heart pounding. " Shhhhhhhhh. Don't be afraid. I'm not going to hurt you. ". " You better not. ", Buffy whispered and Willow looked at her. " Andrommi knows what she's doing, Buffy, she's just checking him. ". Andrommi moved her hand over his chest, stopping over his heart, then down as he looked at her and felt a warm glow filling him. It tickled as he sighed and smiled up at her. He yelped when she touched his crotch and she smiled but Buffy pouted. " Ok, enough of the kinky stuff. What are you doing? ". Andrommi didn't speak when she touched his head and Spike felt the warm glow moving inside his head and sighed. She stood up when she walked to Buffy and handed her the necklace. " He is clean. His body and soul are totally human. There is nothing demonic in him. He has the soul of a champion. That is why this worked. Only a champion can use this. ". " I heard that part before. Why can't he remember anything? ". " I'm not clear on that. It appears that part of him is elsewhere. ". " Where? ". " You know where. Heed me. Protect him. Both of him. ", Andrommi said as she folded Buffy's fingers over the amulet and she looked down. " Can I get up now? ", Spike asked as Willow helped him up and they walked to Buffy. Willow let Andrommi out as Spike held onto Buffy and Buffy sighed. " What was that about? ". " Nothing. Now, what were you thinking!? You could have hurt yourself! ", Buffy said as he pouted and looked like a hurt child. " I just didn't want to stay in bed any more. ". " Well, you're up, so, how about I show you around and introduce you to the girls? ". " I'd like that. ". Buffy held Spike close as they walked out of the room but didn't see Robin in the shadows and he growled. ------------------------------- Angel sat at the desk when he watched the oracle gazing into the crystal and he strummed his fingers on the desk. " Well!? ". " Nothing. ". Angel growled as the oracle left and Harmony walked inside the office. She placed the coffee mug of blood on the desk when he leered at her and Harmony smiled. " It's really cool that my blondie bear is back, isn't it, Chief! ", Harmony said when Angel looked at her and tossed the mug at the wall. The blood rolled down the wall as she ran out of the office and closed the door behind her. " Yeah. Real great. ". |
