| Buffy was stunned. Spike didn't know her. She could see it in his eyes that he had no idea who she was. " My name is Buffy. ", She said as Buffy gently touched his hair and he blinked. " Oh. We know each other? ", he asked as she gently squeezed his fingers and he looked at her. " Yes. We know each other very well. ", Buffy said when the doctor walked inside the room and she looked at them. " He's awake? ", the doctor asked as Buffy nodded and Spike looked at the doctor. The doctor walked closer when she looked at him and Buffy brushed the hair out of his eyes. " Who are you? ". " I'm Doctor Sarah Miller. Now, just relax. ", she said then examined Spike and Buffy smiled at him. " How is he? ". " I think he'll be fine. Now, why don't you go an... ". " I want her to stay. " , Spike said when the doctor noticed the look in his eyes and sighed. " Fine. Just don't get him too excited. ", the doctor said then walked out of the room and Buffy looked at him. " So, if you know me, then, what's my name? ", Spike asked while she carefully sat on the edge of the bed and held his hand in hers. " William, but, I mostly call you " Spike ". ". " Why? ". Buffy had to lie to him as she smiled and kissed his fingers. " Because you used to have you hair all spikey. ". " Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Um, how close are we? ", Spike asked as Buffy sighed and he looked at her with that look he had when he was concerned or confused. " Well, we have had our share of hard times, but, we're close now. ". Spike nodded when he yawned and she watched his eyes slowly closing. He drifted off to sleep while she watched him and fell asleep hold his hand in hers. --------------------------------------------------------------------- --------- -------------------------------------- She was in the white place again. Spike laid under the covers when she walked closer and he was asleep. Buffy touched his hair when his eyes opened and she smiled kissing his warm lips. " Hi. ". " Hello. ". " What's wrong? ". " You don't know me. ". " Yes, I do. ". " Not out there. ". " Oh. Well, you have to protect me, Pet. They're going to hurt me. ". " I won't let anyone hurt you! I promise! ". " That's my girl! ", Spike said as she smiled and kissed him again. " Who's going to hurt you? ". Spike looked up at the window when she did and saw The Wolfram&Hart Building. She saw Angel and the others when he sighed and she touched his hair. " Angel wants to hurt you? ". Spike nodded when she pouted and he wrapped his fingers around hers gently squeezing them. Suddenly he felt something wrong when he pouted and started shaking. " Spike!? ". " He-help me, Pet! Protect me! ". Buffy watched as Spike started convulsing then vanished and she called his name. ----------------------------- Buffy's eyes snapped open when she saw the light on the monitor going too quickly and Spike was convulsing on the bed. The door burst open and the doctors and nurses came into the room as Spike shook on the bed and Buffy pouted. Buffy got out of the way as the doctors and nurses worked on Spike and Buffy sank into the corner and started crying. The doctors and nurses got Spike stabilized when they left and the doctor walked to her. " What happened!? ", Buffy asked and the doctor sighed. " He went into convulsions. ". " Why!? He was fine when he went to sleep! ". " I don't know. We'll run some tests tomorrow. ". " Is he all right now? ". " He's stable. ", the doctor said when Buffy got up and walked to the bed. Spike was breathing hard and fast when she stroked his neck and Spike smiled. He took a few deep breathes when he calmed down and she kissed his hair. The doctor left when Buffy felt something by her foot and looked down. The necklace sat at her foot when she picked it up and felt something wiggling inside. PROTECT ME! echoed in her ears when she placed the necklace in her purse and sat back down holding Spike's hand. She watched the monitor until she fell asleep and held onto Spike's hand. ----------------------------------------------------- Angel sat at his desk when the door opened and Eve walked inside. Angel sighed when Eve sat on the edge of the desk and he looked at her. " You really messed up. The Head Office is really pissed. ". " What do you mean? ". " We had plans for Spike and YOU let him get away! Sooooooooooooo, they told me to tell you to get him back or there will be hell to pay! Literally! ", Eve said when she walked to the door and left the room and Angel growled. " Fine! ". --------------------------------- |
