Spike opened his eyes when he heard the soft gurgling noise coming from the crib and got up. He walked to the crib when he picked up his son and held him. He kissed the tiny hands when he walked to the window and watched the sun coming up. He sighed when he walked to the other room and changed his son's diaper. He found some of the clothes scattered around the room when he dressed the baby then turned looking at the doorway. Buffy stood there as he smiled and walked closer. She touched his hair when they walked out of the room and headed down the stairs. They got to the bottom of the stairs when the front door melted and something oozed into the house. " What is that?! ". Daimon was in the kitchen when he heard Buffy's voice and ran into the hallway. Oozing across the floor was a five and half feet tall creature, with red eyes, a body made of a green and yellow gelatinous mass, and black tentacles, and Buffy handed Spike the baby. " Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, shit, not a volnuzz! ", Daimon said as she looked at him and the creature oozed closer melting parts of the floor. " A what!? ". " A volnuzz. It's an acid demon. ". " How do you kill it!? ". " Got a flame thrower handy? ", Daimon asked as she looked at him and the creature headed for Spike and the baby. The baby was crying when Buffy ran to them and stood in front of them. " Spike! Run! Get out of here! ", she shouted but he didn't move and the creatures tentacles slashed through the air. Daimon ran to them when his hands started glowing and he stood near Buffy. " You heard your wife, Champ, run! You're not ready! ", Daimon said when the tentacles flew at them and Daimon shot white light from his hands. The light hit the tentacles when the creature hissed and Buffy looked around for something to fight with. The creature moved closer as Daimon fired white light at it but the lights only made the creature angrier and the tentacles slashed out and grabbed hold of Buffy. " Nooooooooooooooooooo! ", Spike screamed when he placed the baby down and the tentacles hung Buffy upside down. He watched as she tried to free herself and the top of the creature opened and she looked down. She saw the bubbling acid at the center of the creature when she tried to get free and her heart pounded in her chest. " Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuffy!? ", the voice came from the stairs as she looked to see the others at the top of the stairs and Dawn ran down picking the baby off the floor. Buffy tried to free herself when she saw something red flash before her and the creature screamed. " Leave my wife alone, you bloody wanker! ". The tentacle let go as she fell, only to be caught by Daimon, and watched the creature thrashing around the room totally engulfed in fire. Furniture and the carpet caught fire as they looked at the creature then Daimon sighed and let Buffy go. He raised his hands as rain fell in the room and the creature stopped moving. The rain stopped as they looked at the smoking remains of the creature and Daimon walked closer. He poked at the creature then looked at Spike and Spike stood there with smoke coming from his glowing hands. Daimon walked closer when he took Spike's hands in his and looked at them. The glowing light faded as he looked at the tiny blisters on Spike's hands and smiled ruffling Spike's wet hair. " Good shot Champ. His hands were wrapped in bandages as he placed his head on her shoulder and Buffy looked at Daimon, who was sitting on the chair to her left. " You seem to know a lot about these creatures. ", Giles said as Daimon looked at him placing one leg over the arm of the chair. " I ran into them once in my life. Never thought I'd see another one of those again. ". " Do you have any idea where that thing came from? ", Robin asked and Daimon sat up. " Well, not exactly. But, it does take a magic welder of real power to handle it. And the one that came through the ceiling. I mean you can't just light a candle and call them up. Whoever this is is really pissed at someone in this house. ", Daimon said when he glanced at Spike and they looked at Spike. " What about what S...Um..he did? How did he do that? ", Dawn asked as Giles looked at her and Daimon smiled. " Well, that's just his power. ". " He doesn't have any power. ", Andrew said and Spike looked at his bandaged hands wanting so bad for that to be true. " Sure he does. I mean he's..... ", Daimon said when he noticed the look in Buffy's eyes, as she looked at Angel, who had come down after hearing the voices, and Giles, and he sighed, "...He's like me. Anyway, lets go get this mess cleaned up and eat. I am starving! ". Daimon got up as they followed and Spike looked at him. Daimon smiled as he shrugged and Spike looked at the remains of the creature. " It's only going to get worse, Champ, he's just getting started. ". " You know who this is? ". " Yep. ". " Who is it? ". " You'll see. ". ---------------------------- The figure looked in the gazing bowl when the eyes flashed and the figure growled. The hand moved over the smoking water as the figure walked to the alter and lit the candles. The candles flickered as the figure walked to the jar and pulled out the hearts of freshly killed pigs. The figure placed the hearts on the alter when the figure picked up a large wooden hammer and smashed the hearts to a bloody pulp. The blood floated over the alter when the figure started the spell and watched the runes on the alter pulsate. The runes flared when something appeared in the smoke over the alter and the figure smiled. " Coooooooooooooool! ".
