| the incredibly famous reflecting pool which sets a fitting tone for the lincoln memorial. |
| even though i've seen tons of pictures of this statue, the cliche is true: there's nothing quite like seeing the real thing. |
| normally, i try to get as few people as possible in a landscape shot, but in this case, it seemed fitting to capture the number of people paying their respects to a great president. |
| we walked to this spot late on our last day in DC. i'm sure the actual statue of jefferson is amazing, but we were way too tired to walk around the tidal basin to see for ourselves. next time. |
