after buying my car, i was feeling a bit lazy, so i thought the AJET hike up mt. chougatake (about 2500m,, and 20 minutes from my house) would be a good idea. there were two groups: daytrippers (like me) and those staying overnight. unfortunately, the daytrippers had to turn back about 40 mintues from the top, due to darkness. oh well. we'll finish next year. the views were still stunning, and it was great to get out and stretch my legs a bit!
