| because of holiday family obligations, we didn't have enough time to do everything we wanted, but we were still able to go to the beach quite a bit. it is definitely the ocean i miss most in japan, and as i sit at this computer, watching it snow outside (again) these pictures make me REALLY wish i was back in hawaii... |

| ok- i know it's not the beach, but i had to do some bragging somewhere. this is the pool we built. and i do mean WE. the orange tile on the deck was our project for the first 2 days of our 'vacation.' mom and jerry did the rest of the tiling. amazing. so here are clare and i being pool bunnies. |
