| "The Best of the Musical was performed by the Stephen Leacock Players at the Stephen Leacock Theatre in Keswick Ontario Canada. The show was so successful during it's inital run (Aug. 1996.) that it was brought back for a second run (Oct. 1996). The show was based on a simple premis, gather together the very best of what broadway had to offer, past and present. The music was woven into various scenes and introduced with short narations. The effect was a seemless blending of music, story and dance, performed by some of the brightest talent Ontario has to offer. The music included some time honored favorites like Rodgers and Hammerstien and new classics like songs from "Jeckle and Heyde", which at the time was only a work in progress and had yet to make it's broadway debut. |
