| The Stephen King novella Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption, (Later called, of course, The Shawshank Redemption) was first published as the Spring entry, in King's brilliant 1982 collection, Different Seasons. You should still be able to find that in your local bookstore. The other movie, Stand By Me, was based upon another of the four novellas, The Body in Different Seasons. (Still in print) Frank Darabont did the screen adaptation of The Shawshank Redemption, which is still available in some places, or you can contact Harvest if you can't find it. Incidentally, if you're looking for a list of his movies, try this site- they do a much better job than I at keeping up with the latest news. |
