Problem Statment : SQL compliance is all about adherence to the RDBMS codd's principles.

understanding rationalizing compliance of ANSI sql with SQL as implemented by IBM

Opportunity : Given that IBM db2 is a database ...widely used on a range of enterprises...class of machines??

Mainframe's ...midrange ...etc ...refer to the IBM for complete marketing or product packaging.

Potential Bug that may be effecting various implementations of the above product.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

i remember or recall you having written or used a Query on the db2 version 8,

essentially ...the query had a 'group by' clause ...executed on a IBM p-series, Aix LPAR supported host.

            environment ....PDC , vikrikar-bhavan, bombay...maharastra,india - 400010.

...i believe ...i might have stumbled upon a bug in the SQL engine of the DB2, viz. either the engine is
not making the logic or integrity of the RDBMS ...principles apparent ...hence i believe there is some-thing amiss.

the context could be some-where on the usage of distint , cumalative functions , groupby clause's together in conjuction.

Objective : given the context of Quality assurance as a practice or viz. enforcement of or adherence to Quality ISO or various
            benchmarking institutions.

Note: The above problem statement having been encountered in various scenarios
and detailed in various 'Proof of concepts' as mentioned in

        ....apply appropriate
'use-case' modeling, rationalize and arrive at a workable and feasible
solution both commercially and techinically viable.
