Foster Kittens
See also Foster Dogs

Andrew and I also foster kittens for the Leon County Humane Society.  If you are interested in becoming a foster parent, don't hesitate to contact a rescue group in your area.

--Updated Wednesday October 27, 2004--

We got Okii as a bottle-fed 4 week old kitten (born early August) who is now eating solid food. She is a female orange tabby, which, by the way, due to genetics is a rarity.  We don't know what color her eyes are going to be yet, as all kittens are born with blue eyes.  Okii, which means "large one" in Japanese,  will most likely be ready for adoption sometime in December or January.

Our Girl Blue

Roshi (top) and Gandy (bottom) came to us at 6 weeks old, both being born around the end of April. Roshi, whose name comes from the Korean word for Russian, is a male Russian Blue mix who is very loving and playful. Gandy is a female domestic long hair who is more independent and loves to play with Roshi. Gandy is being adopted by the Coleman family when she is ready and Roshi is probably going to be a permanent member of our house. ;)

Blue is a domestic short hair (DSH) kitty who was born around August 20th, 2003. She is a definite lap kitty who purrs like a lion and is very playful with Saja. Every once in a while she can be a tad ornery and is still not so keen on dogs, but she's learning. Blue has been adopted and will be living in Largo.

Misu the Manx Kitty

Saja the Brave

Misu, which translates to artwork in Korean (different spelling), is a calico Manx pictured here at around 3 months old (born early August 2003).  She is very sweet and a tad independent, but was in love with Andrew's dog, Jengo. She was adopted in November of 2003. This is our first foster kitten, Saja, pictured here at 3 months old (born around August 1st, 2003). Saja means lion in Korean. She has been adopted into the Frost household to Andrew's sister, Teresa, and is now a loving permanent fixture.
