dragon

Type Description
New Blood The New Blood dragons, also called NB dragons, are the newcomers to Enzan Shi. They founded the Deragonray and are, by definition, complete mixed breeds. They have no real discerning features, though some have inherited some major physical traits that their parents had.

The most common appearance is a large reptillian creature with a slightly rigid tail, feature-less head and multi-tined wings that appear fanned when stretched. They are quadrapedal, with legs of equal length, and claws on all legs that can deal death as quick as their teeth.

They can have any variety of abilities, due to their strange melding of genetics, and are generally unscaled.

They are generally 'good' and will bond any variety of creatures... if they bond at all. In the recent years, New Blood clutches have shrunk to a maximum of ten eggs, of which only a maximum of seven will bond.

New Blood dragons bond at birth and grow at a rapid rate to meet the mental age of their bond. Unbonded dragons take ten to fifteen years to reach full adulthood (compared to a previous three), while bonded ones take the normal three to five (the older the bond, the longer the time).

The dragons themselves have also shrunk, opting for magical strength rather than physical size. They are a maximum of thirty feet long, though they average about ten.
Ancient Blood General The Ancient Blood dragons (AB dragons) are one of the oldest species in the world. They were created back when the Urvar were, making them as old as time itself. They are divided various elements, which cannot interbreed without some magical intervention on the part of the Urvar.

Many of the Ancient Blood come in patterns, whether subtle or bold, and some like to enhance their colouration with natural paint (which is adhered with magic, which all have). They rarely bond and, when they do, they are usually less than twenty years old, but older than ten. No Ancient Blood dragons will bond straight out the egg - their parents will not allow it. In fact, most Ancient Blood parents refuse to let their children leave their sight until they are at least ten years of age. Only at twenty are they considered mature adults.

Most of these dragons grow to be a maximum of twenty feet in length.
Ancient Blood Fire Ancient Blood Fires look the most like the New Blood dragons, with one major difference: they have tiny diamond-hard scales. They are quadrapedal, lizard-like with semi-rigid tails and have fanned wings. However, they also have backward pointing horns and a flame-shaped mark of different scale colours around their eyes. They have four toes on their forelegs and six on their hindlegs, each with powerful claws.

They are physically and magically powerful and can always use fire magic.

Most Fires are any shade from red to golden-orange, be they dark or light or vibrant. They usually have two colours of scales, one which is around the eye and along their stomachs, where the scales are weaker. The difference between these two colours does not have to be much. They are also quite prone to painting themselves, but always stay within their fiery colour spectrum.
Ancient Blood Water Ancient Blood Waters are quadrapedal with fanned wings and many spars. They are covered in medium-sized interlocking scales that are like a giant puzzle. Their tails are long and flexible, with a diamond-shaped fin encompassing the final third. They have two backward facing horns which split into three points in the last third, as well as a curved horn on their nose which are a third of the length of their longer horns. They have fourt oes on their forelegs and six on their hindlegs, all with claws.

They are not very powerful physically, though all can breathe underwater due to gills above their wing-arms on their shoulders. They can use water magic from a very young age and are actually the dragons who can use magic at the youngest age.

Most Waters range from teal to indigo, dark or light or vibrant. They often come in stripes to imitate the way light plays on water. They are the one type that will literally cover themselves in paint, especially during festivals.
Ancient Blood Wind Ancient Blood Winds are quadrapedal with very long sinuous bodies. They are covered in small scales that can deflect most magical attacks, yet are weak to physical ones. Their tails make up over half their length and are very flexible, often whip-like. Their wings have three spars and leathery sails. They also have four toes on their forelegs and six on their hindlegs, each with claws. Their most prominent feature is a large fin of bone going from their nose in a wide arc to end past their shortened horns (which are only a third or so of the length of a Fire or Water of the same size).

They are pathetically weak physically, barely able to stand any physical combat. However, their avian feats and powerful control of the winds makes them almost unattainable by others.

Winds are all paler than the grey of fog, but of any hue. They do not paint themselves under any circumstances, as they prefer their subtle patterns.
Ancient Blood Lightning Ancient Blood Lightnings are quadrapedal with short stocky bodies. They are covered in small iridescent scales that reflect the light and lightning attacks. Their tails are strong and slightly flexible, to deal a killing blow with the six paired-off spines at the tip of them. They have two prongs rising from their foreheads at a slight forward-upward curve (this is used to catch and/or throw lightning). They also have two backward facing horns to fight in close quarters. Their wings are huge and fanned, also impermeable to lightning attacks. They have four toes on each leg, though the forelegs also have a dew-claw.

Lightnings are extemely strong magically and a worthy adversary in physical combat. They can also easily combine both abilities, shocking those they touch.

Lightnings come in any shade between yellow and gold. They may have the smallest range in hue, but their tendancy to paint themselves in colours outside their traditional boundaries obliterates their plainness. They usually imitate the vibrant stripes of the Waters with their paint, always using their normal colour as the base.
Ancient Blood Earth Ancient Blood Earths are one of the more physical Ancient Dragons. They are quadrapedal with long rigid tails that make up half their length. They have long necks and no claws, as well as single-sparred wings. They have a crest that resembles feathers running from nose to shoulders in their secondary colour. They are born without wings, but grow them over time.

Earths are not the most physically powerful, but they can cause physical damage with their magic. They can sprout vines to toss around opponents, as well as root themselves to heal. They are carnivorous plants that can move, to be precise.

Earths range from brown to green to yellow-green in any shade. They often have a sub-shade of purple or red, which are their crest colour. They sometimes cover themselves in paint to camouflage themselves or to state their availability (green means single and looking, blue means single yet not looking, purple means partnered permanently, black means lost a partner and is not searching).
Ancient Blood Dark Ancient Blood Darks are a good example of the Ancient Dragons' affinity for their elements. They are not really flesh and bone, more made of shadow-flesh and shadow-bone. They can stretch and manipulate their mass and always have the same volumic mass. They do not always appear the same size, however, due to their ability to condense and stretch. They do, however, have a base shape which they take subconsciously and is their natural shape. They are quadrapedal with large fanned wings and tails over twice their comulative length. They often look as if they are made of whisps of shadow, though they can condense to a fully reptilian version. They prefer to keep their bodies looking slightly 'fuzzy', though it is common for their wings to be fully condensed. They have four toes on each foot and even form deadly teeth, horns and claws out of razor-sharp shadow. Their eyes are red.

The Darks are perhaps the most deadly of all Ancient Dragons, being extremely powerful both physically and magically. Their magic leads by a small margin, which is rarely noticeable in adult dragons. Their young, however, often play as whisps of shadow and are never not using their magic.

All Darks are black or dark gray. Their colour depends on their density, and sometimes varies into spots or stripes only seen in the right light.
Ancient Blood Light Ancient Blood Lights are also an element-oriented type. They are made of light, which is condensed into the physical form they prefer. They can also stretch and condense like the Darks. Their preferred appearance is of a dragon, obviously. They are quadrapedal with half their length taken up by tails which end in a spade. Their wings are feathered and they have curved horns, which are first pointing backwards then forwards again. They have four toes on each foot, including a dew claw on their forelegs.

The Lights are the exact equals of the Darks, matching them in both physical and magical strengths. Their young like to play as balls of light, but their affinity for taking on the appearance of light decreases with age.

All Lights are luminescent and as close to white as it is possible to be without being white. They have a slight hue variant, which is visible in the primary feathers of their wings and their eyes.
Ancient Blood Celestial Ancient Blood Celestials are the most physically deviating of the element-oriented type. They are made of the matter of outer space, appearing to be skies full of stars, nebulas and planets. They cannot stretch and condense, but they do not need to. Space has a shape, as do they. They are wyverns, with large wings as arms and weak hindlegs (which they only gain at three years of age). They have their nose-holes right in front of their eyes, beaked mouths and a single pointed horn smoothly pointing out the back of their head. Their tails are long and flexible, not to mention sharp as the sharpest of knives.

The Celestials are physically weak, though they can deal some damage if they need to. They greatly prefer to use their magic, which also deals with illusions to confuse their opponent until they call the powers of the zodiac to them.

They do not paint themselves, as their natural appearance constantly changes and they often enjoy watching it change.
Ancient Blood Undead Ancient Blood Undeads are the strangest of the physical Ancient Dragons. They are wyvern-like with two large wings, each with two spines and three wrist-claws. They have two backward pointing horns, six spines in two rows on their chests and a spaded tail. What is most interesting about the Undeads is that they are born dead and have to be ripped from their eggs and magically awakened by their parents. From then on, they begin to decay. By the time they reach one hundred years of age, they are half bones held together by magical tendons and muscles which replace those that fall off. At five hundred, they are simple skeletons. They also have red eyes, without eyeballs.

Undeads are physically indestructable and can only be killed using magic. However, they also have powerful magic. It is said the strongest Undead ever to live could even convert the living to their type with their magic, though that was back at the beginning of creation. Such Undead would be sought out and exterminated by their opposites, the Divine.

Undead are completely colourless in shades of grey. They do not have any colour anywhere on them and, if they paint themselves, it is in red.
Ancient Blood Hider Ancient Blood Hiders are barely real. They are at most translucent, often near-transparent. They are quadrapedal with four toes on each foot. Their wings are fanned and wide, their tails long and flexible. They have no physical anomalies.

Hiders are physically indestructable, unable to be touched by the real world, especially when they make themselves transparent. Their magic deals with hiding and cloaking, as well as illusions. All Hiders can wield magic, as they are magic.

Hiders come in a large array of colours, usually green, blue or purple. They only come in colours lighter than fog or darker than smoke. They do not paint themselves, as that would draw attention.
Ancient Blood Crystal Ancient Blood Crystals are living crystals. They glitter in the light and their scales are sharp, jagged and seem to stick out in every direction. Most would say they offer no protection, but their angles catch the light and throw it back in the attacker's face, blinding them. They are quadrapedal and are born without wings, which they grow over time and are fanned. They have four toes on each foot and their lower jaws jut slightly past their upper jaws. Their spines have large thick ridges, which are more noticeable than the finer angles of their scales.

Crystals are physically powerful, using their magic to aid them in physical combat. They cannot fight with just one or the other, and it does not exhaust them to use both.

Crystals come in the gem variants of every hue, sparkling and shining. They reflect any light there is, so they always appear paler than they really are. They do not paint themselves, as it hides their luminescence.
Ancient Blood Changer Ancient Blood Changers are natural shape-shifters. They never stay in the same shape for very long, though they do have a natural shape which they sometimes revert to. This form is quadrapedal with four toes on each leg. They have two long backward-pointing horns, large spined ridges from between their horns to their shoulders. Their wings are large and fanned and their tails have three prongs. Their tails are also often half their length.

Changers are magically powerful and, due to this, they can be as physically powerful as they wish. Their magic deals with change and transformation, which they can invoke on others as well.

Changers come in a shifting chaotic mass of colours. No two are the same, but no two are solid colours. They all have every colour of the rainbow, in different shifting swirls and patterns. Often, they are nauseating to look at. They do not paint themselves, they do not see the point of it.
Ancient Blood Time Ancient Blood Times are the pure embodiment of time itself: constant and never-ending. They are always the same shape and never bend to anybody else's will or wishes. They are quadrapedal with three toes on their forelegs, four toes on their forelegs. Their wings have one major spar, but they do not need to fly, they can twist time to their will. Their tails are exactly half their length, never more, never less. They have ridges beginning at the back of their heads and ending at their shoulders. They have no claws, but they have sharp teeth which speed up or slow down the heart of their victim to their will due to a magic toxin they can inject through them.

Times are magically powerful and, therefore, cna be as physically powerful as they want to. They can bend time, either to change their reactions or others' reactions.

Times are shimmering metallic colours, which ripples as they move yet never fully deviates from their base colour. They only paint themselves when going to war, when they cover themselves in red paint.
Ancient Blood Poison Ancient Blood Poisons have the strangest element of all. They are quadrapedal with four toes on each foot. They also have one dewclaw per foreleg, two per hindleg. They have large fanned wings, two spines pointing forward from each shoulder and four horns on their heads from nose to forehead. They have a set of saber teeth, which are also venemous, and barbed tails. All in all, they are made to inflict physical harm.

Poisons are physically powerful to an insane level. They can inject poison with almost any bodypart and can control any toxin at a distance.

Poisons are the most vibrant of all Ancient Dragons, coming in vibrant greens, blues, purples, yellows, oranges and reds. They also always have black splotches, which sometimes take up the majority of their bodies. However, they often add more of their natural colour to their black parts with paint.
Ancient Blood Divine Ancient Blood Divines are so luminescent, it is difficult to see them properly. Shadows do not touch them, no matter how dark it is. They are quadrapedal, yet do not have claws, and slightly feathered wings and ears. Their tails are half their length and their upper lips protrude very slightly.

Divines are insanely magically powerful, which helps their physical strength. They are equal to the Undeads, whom they despise and constantly fight. They keep each other from getting too powerful.

Divines come in blindingly brilliant white, no variations. Paint does not make a difference on them.
Ancient Blood Spirit Ancient Blood Spirits are whatever they wish to be. They usually take on an unwinged quadrapedal form. They have no claws in this form and their tails are over half their length. They also have a single horn rising from their heads, and they have no mouths or noses.

Spirits' power lies only in their magic. With their magic comes great physical power, if they wish it to be that way. Their true power lies in their minds.

Spirits are usually mid-tone grey with a slight blue tone. They very rarely deviate from this, as this is their natural colour. However, they can and will paint themselves to make a show for other types, when their subtle colour changes will not do.
Ancient Blood Indescribable Ancient Blood Indescribables are just that: indescribable. They have no wings, but can fly; they have only one toe on each leg but can hold things; they have no mouths but can eat. They are born without limbs, just a simple serpentine creature with a diamond-shaped fin on the tip of their tail. They soon become quadrapedal with metal and gem plates growing on their heads, chests and replacing their fins. As adults, they have two plates on each side as well. They all have a large gem right between their forelegs on their chests, in a standing position.

Indescribables are both magically and physically powerful. Both go hand-in-hand for them, as without either they would die, especially magic.

Spirits are usually pale grey with metallic plates and gleaming gems. Their core gem, the largest of their breast plate, changes with their mood, a code which is different for each Indescribable.

The Esling dragons have all evolved to become more reliant on genetics. Even the New Blood dragons only have children of varying tones of their parents' colours. This could be blamed on the urvar, but people prefer to say it is the magical quality of the world. Especially since the urvar have turned out to be real.

gryphon

The Esling gryphons are the oldest averte on all of Enzan Shi. They have been bonding humans since the Seventh Era, and have remained more or less the same since.

All kits are born live in litters from two to five, usually three. They stay by their mother's side until they are at least a year old and fully weaned. Then they are given the option whether or not to bond.

Gryphons are, by definition, a creature with the front half of a bird and the hind end of a mammal. The Esling gryphons have the front half of a hawk-like creature and the hind end of a large cat-like creature. The exact roots are indeterminable, as gryphons were not engineered from two different species, yet born as one.

Gryphons come in all colours of the rainbow. The males are, as a rule, brighter than the females, who come in duller colours that are better for camouflauge. The males are also larger than females and flashier than them in personality as well.

hydra

The Esling hydras are a breed of multi-headed dragons. The more heads they have, the stronger and higher ranking they are. There are two types of heads: serpentine and draconic. There are also crowned draconic heads, of two colours: silver and gold.

They are ranked in the following order: total amount of heads, then draconic : serpentine ratio, then crowned heads, then ratio of silver : gold crowns. The next level is only reached when there is a tie.

Some are also born with multiple tails.

All hydras are dark in colour, coming in the darker shades of the rainbow's colours. There are, of course, some exceptions.

hyedhostar

Hyedhostar are as close to native to Enzan Shi as a non-native can be. They are long-legged oriental-style draconic creatures with wolfen heads, snouts and paws. They have long manes and tail-tufts in the same colours as their element. The rest of their bodies are covered in luminescent white fur.

Fire - Red/orange; the largest hyedhostar of them all. They have two long whiskers, slightly tufted ears and long flowy manes and tail-tufts. They have fiery tempers and their magic usually deals with fire and spirit. They have a long dislike for their water kin, but younger hyedhostar can get over it easier than their parents.
Water - Blue; the smallest hyedhostar. They have scraggly manes, a pair of average-length whiskers, finned ears and fins in addition to the fur on their tail-tufts. They are calm and soothing and their magic usually deals with healing, water and life. They are less angry with their tribe feud with the fires.
Ice - Pale blue; average in size. They are covered in curly/wooly fur, a thick mane of it from forehead to shoulder, three pairs (six total) of very short whiskers and spiked/crystal-resembling ears. They are detached and cold-hearted, quick to fight and never feeling remorse or regret. Their magic involves ice, cold and all that entails.
Lightning - Gold; average in size. They have spikey manes that tend to stand on end, like all their fur, long lightning-bolt resembling ear-tufts and short jagged whiskers (one pair, two total). They have an overwhelming amount of energy and are rather flaky, capable of changing their minds in seconds and quick to fight over anything. They have a great amount of pride, as well. Their magic involves electricity, lightning and energy. They can also use their boundless energy to augment their magical abilities. Some may also have the ability to see into the future.
Earth - Green; second smallest hyedhostar. They have dissheveled manes, tail-tufts and their ears are also dissheveled-looking. They have average-sized whiskers (one pair) and, other than that, are plain-looking. They are calm and down-to-earth, the wisest of all hyedhostar. They tend to stop fights before they begin and love to nourish things, including relationships. Their magic deals with plants, growth and healing.
Air - White/grey; average-sized for hyedhostar. They have long flowy manes, tails, ears and whiskers. In fact, other than their abnormal flowiness, they are unbearably dull. Their magic involves air and wind, as well as the very rare ability to see into the future. They are very flaky, dreamy and often drift off. They have trouble understanding reality and making the distinction between dreams what really exists.

All hyedhostar can fly despite their lack of wings and can teleport within their line of sight. Fires can also make Portals to other worlds, once they have located a mind near where they wish to go. They all have the magic within them to permit them to have up to five kits at once, so long as they decide such at least one month in advance. Hyedhostar may only carry one litter every ten months.

Hyedhostar also have a peculiar naming system, when the female kit takes the final two letters of her mother's name and the male kit takes the final two of his father's. This is simply for ceremony, as a hyedhostar's magic keeps them immune from the dangers of inbreeding.

talardan

Talardan are unwinged bipedal dragons with two long horns pointing straight out the back of their heads. They have powerful hindlegs, made for running, and can use powerful magic of almost any kind (abilities assigned at birth).

They come in a large array of colours and no two are the same.

Colour Characteristics
Gold Gold talardan are raised to be leaders and to take charge. They have a commanding presence and will never take no for an answer. They are often female, yet some males have been known to appear. They prefer to bond females, as they are glamourous and usually empathize with female mood swings. In fact, even if they were to bond males they would be just as moody. They are probably the largest talardan, about twenty feet in length. They absolutely refuse to share their bond with another.
Black Black talardan are equals to their gold siblings, though they are often raised to be advisors. They are naturally wise and content to stay in the shadows. They are most commonly male, yet some females have appeared. They have no preference in bond gender, as they are reserved no matter what influence they have. They are the second largest talardan, ranging between seventeen and twenty feet in length. They have no problem sharing their bond with another.
Bronze Bronze talardan are tough fighters, born to beat other creatures to a pulp. They are naturally hot-headed and temperamental, quick to start a fight over one word. They are all male to date and chances of a female appearing are very very slim. They prefer male bonds, though they will pick females who are not feminine in the slightest. They are about fifteen feet in length, and extremely territorial. Only twins will share their bonds.
Silver Silver talardan are noble and controlled, raised to be elegant leaders. They are calm and disassociated, making them excellent mediators. They are all female to date and chances of a male appearing are quite slim. They prefer female bonds, though they will pick male bonds if the right one appears. They are about ten feet in length and quite tolerant. They will share their bonds rather readily.
Brown Brown talardan are usually the middle siblings, brought up to be calm and supportive. They do not aspire to be anything great and are content to watch others reach greatness. They are mostly male, yet females can be born as well. They prefer male bonds, as males are often thought to be calmer, yet females are also chosen often. They are about ten feet in length and are indifferent towards double-bonding.
Cream Cream talardan do not need to make a scene. They enjoy their silence and dignity, taking blows without retaliation. They are often put in situations or positions where tolerance is needed, which they excel in. They are almost always male, yet females could be born. They have no preference in bond gender, nor amount of talardan sharing their bonds. They are about eight feet in length.
White White talardan are rather flashy and dominant. They will do almost anything to get attention, even if it is at the loss of another. They will argue verbally, yet always run when a small spat comes down to physical confrontation. They are often male, yet females could be born as well. They have no preference in bond gender, yet it is quite common for them to bond females. They absolutely refuse to let their bond have another. They are about nine feet in length.
Red Red talardan are quite a handful to manage. They argue, they are stubborn and sometimes they simply refuse to see sense. Nothing is good enough for them and only their ideas are worthy of being carried out. They are always male and chances of a female red being born are very rare. They have no preference in bond gender, so long as their bond is tough. They sometimes will double-bond just to spite someone, but are always the second to do so. If they are the first to bond, they will guard their bond jealously. They are about eleven feet in length.
Purple Purple talardan are very high maintenance. They are very feminine, superior and haughty. They refuse to listen to anyone they consider beneath them, which is the majority of the population. They greatly prefer female bonds and will most likely never bond a male. They refuse to double-bond, as they are too good for such acts. They are about twelve feet in length.
Blue Blue talardan are at the lower end of the authority pool. They stay on the sidelines and often do as they are told. They are complacent and loving, latching onto their bonded with open adoration. They have no preference in bond gender and actually prefer to double-bond. They are about five feet in length.
Green Green talardan are the most common of all talardan colours. They are obedient, complacent and loving. They will latch onto their bond with a fierceness rarely seen in other talardan and will defend them to the death. They have no preference in bond gender and prefer to double-bond. They are between three and five feet in length.
Talardan never lay clutches larger than five and will usually only have children of their colour, their mate's colour and perhaps some greens and blues. They may have up to three clutches in a twelve month period.

drakkin

Drakkin are only distributed by
Etea Arena.

sea serpent

Sea serpents come in a variety of shapes, colours and genders. They can be anything from fully aquatic to amphibious and come in a full range of colours. This all depends on their parents' genetics, which vary as much as it is possible while staying the same species.

Esling sea serpents have yet to lay a public clutch, so not much is known about them.

magana

Magana come in a few distinct types, as described below:

maji'nor The northern magana have heavily-furred ankles, tail-tips and a beard coming from their chin. They have furred ears instead of horns, five spars to their wings and four legs. They are one of the larger magana at ten feet in length.
maji'pela The plains magana have curved horns, two-sparred wings and longer legs than any other magana. They are smaller than many magani at four feet in length. They have large mouths and small wings, to be able to run faster to catch (and then eat) their prey.
maji'wua The aquatic magana have straight horns and finned paws. They have spinal crests from nose to shoulders, then from tail-base to tail-tip. They are average-sized and covered in very fine fur, like Terran seals, and are about seven feet in length.
maji'ain The mountain magana are the only magani species with wyvern-like bodies. They have wing-arms and a set of powerful hindlegs. Their wings have three spars and their horns have been replaced by wide feathery ears. They are smaller than many magani at three to five feet in length.
maji'fes The forest magana have two protruding canines and three horns protruding from their foreheads (nose to top of head). Their wings only have one spar and they have very dog-like paws, as well as very short tails. They are also rather small at four to five feet in length.
maji'ri The tropic magana have three grasping toes on each paw, a prehensile tail and one spar for each wing. They are the tiniest magana and prefer to jump from tree to tree instead of flying. Their heads are adorned in short horns with spines like a tree. They are, at most, four feet in length.
maji'swa The swamp magana have fan-style wings with no definable major spars and finned hindpaws. Their forepaws have three toes, each finned yet very short, and larger fins going from exterior finger to elbow. The tip of their tail has a fin that is about two feet long and ends in a rounded end at the very tip of the tail. They are about seven feet in length.
maji'des The desert magana have thick lids over their eyes, fine fur, and a protruding section of bone from their forehead. Their wings are fanned, just like the swamp magana, to create the most shade for them, and they have very bulky bodies yet thin tails. Their paws are wide, to keep from sinking in sand, and they are about five feet in length.

Magana have litters ranging from one to seven kits. They will keep their children by their sides until they are at least ten years old. Once they are ten years old, the kits are allowed to bond, yet they are not considered adults until they are twenty.

All magana have magic typical of their clan. Northern magana have cold/wind magic, plains magana have earth/fire magic, aquatic magana have water/healing magic, mountain magana have wind/earth magic, forest magana have earth/healing magic, tropic magana have earth/wind magic, swamp magana have earth/water magic and desert magana have wind/fire magic. They can use their magic from birth, yet need careful teaching to avoid disaster.

urvar

Urvar are four-legged and two-winged with large fanned wings with many spars. They come in two different colours, one for the majority of their body and another for the spines going down their spines to one third from the end of their tail. They are generally very reptillian and carnivorous in appearance, with some teeth protruding from their mouths. They are covered in scales from head to toe, making their hide completely impenetrable by physical weapons. They also have two straight horns pointing out the back of their heads.

The urvar come in two classes: royal and common. For an urvar to be royal, they must have over eight spars to their wings. Almost all royal urvar have the last name Draconius, making them that much easier to identify. The more spars to their wings, the less teeth are protruding over their lips and the healthier they are. As such, the royals are the healthiest of all urvar.

Urvar are considered infants until they are ten years old and become teenagers when they are twenty-five years old. They are officially adults at fifty. However, parents will let their children bond anywhere between ten and twenty-five, though they will often demand to interview all possible bonders for their offspring. This may be because urvar have clutches of a maximum of five eggs and, therefore, they treasure every moment with their children.

xeno-morph

Xeno-morphs (or xeno-dragons) come in two sub-breeds, determined by birth-type.

The most common of the two are chest-bursters, where the hatchlings are born of unfertilized eggs, or those of a burster-type queen. They are less intelligent than their more draconic bretheren, about on the same level as a telepathic pet. They bond in groups, to each other or their queen, as soon as they burst from their host's chest. Chest-bursters spend about a month in their first form before building a cocoon and emerging about half a day later as full adults.

The second type is the more draconic of types. They hatch from fertilized xeno-dragon queen eggs and require no bloodshed or host to be born. They are far more intelligent than their chest-bursting fellows and only bond one other mind. Usually they bond their queen, but they also have the ability to choose their own bond. These xenos take anywhere between half a year to a full year to reach adulthood, yet retain their draconic appearance throughout.

All xeno-dragons go through one massive growth-spurt where they build themselves a cocoon and emerge completely different. They also have the ability of self-telekinesis, extremely powerful telepathy, acidic blood, high endurance, intelligence from a young age, extremely sensitive/well-tuned senses and a powerful loyalty. They usually have a hive mindset, the drones and warriors working for the queen. They also have some major setbacks, including very poor tempers and a great tendancy for violence and maliciousness.

Xeno-dragons come in all colours with either black or white, though rarely the latter.

The difference between classes is also rather apparent. Drones are the lowest rank, usually neuters though they are also either gender and bond either gender equally; drones have a maximum of three offspring per clutch. Warriors are the middle rank, larger, spinier and more vicious than the drones; they are usually neuters, though they also come in either gender and bond either gender equally; warriors have a maximum of six offspring per clutch. Queens are the highest rank, with huge head-crests, larger than either other rank and are amazingly agile and intelligent; they almost always come from draconic xeno-morph clutches, are female and will normally bond females; queens can have up to twelve offspring per clutch.
