council - leaders The leaders of the Deragonran Council each represent one of the towers. Therefore, each tower has two representatives - one male averte and one female averte.* Their bonds' genders do not affect their positions, nor do their sexual preferences. In fact, it has become quite normal for leaders of the same tower to be of opposite gender, or to not be attracted to each other at all. It is, however, not recommended that they loathe each other, for they must work together in Council. There are also different prefixes to the title depending on the beholder: Te means temporary, representative for an unbonded or replacement as the rightful holder is indisposed of at the moment. Sen means someone who once led officially. Jen means someone who once led unofficially. Mar means someone who will be considered for the post if anything were to happen to the current holder. Fra means someone who is being trained for the position. Also, if the title lacks the gender-specific suffix yet has the most letters in common with either name (ie. Rura, Jiba, Lex...) means the holder never had an official title yet was considered on equal footing with the official title-holders. Dates (GY#) are first year in office, then last year in office. If there is only one number, they are still in charge to date.
