SHS alumnus makes debut on ABC soap

Starkville native Shane McRae made his soap opera debut yesterday on ABC's "One Life to Live."

The 1995 Starkville High School graduate is not new to television, however, having made appearances in such shows as "Promised Land" and "Hack."

McRae recently completed a run in the Tony Award winning play "Take Me Out." In high school Shane appeared in three Musicals including "Bye, Bye Birdie" and "Hello Dolly" as well as several other productions according to his theatrical teacher Paula Mabry.

He attended Mississippi State for one year where he appeared in the MSU production of "The Disposal." McRae then transferred to Evansville and later graduated with an MFA from New York University. In addition to his soap opera work, Shane is currently in rehearsal for a New York production of "Richard III." He stars as Richard's Nemesis, Richmond.
