Welcome to the World of Auctions. It is fun taking a Sunday afternoon just looking through a collection of odd things or a detailed antique auction. The thrill of trying to pay the lowest price for a item and then have your friends admire it and be able to chat about how you acquired it. Auctions are a great place to pick up a bargain, but it also can be a place where you get far over your head. There are rules to auctions and you should stick to them, no matter how much you like the piece. First one is have no emotional attachment to the item you are trying to buy, if it sells at a higher price than you can afford, then walk away. Secondly, have a set limit before going off to bid. Thirdly, be patient, if you don't get it this time, there will surely be another chance later on down the track. And fourthly, enjoy it, as it is meant to be fun and thrilling. Try different places to enjoy the game and become skilful in the trade, as it doesn't come easy to learn, most of all go out and try, if you fail or pay to much for an item, then learn from it and try again... that is the fun of life itself.
